I would guess the tent must have been available - it was in the store catalogue but as I dont remember ever seeing one in person in images perhaps it was never stocked?

Catalogs! I remember getting these as a child. They were almost as good as getting toys themselves because then I could fantasize about actually having all the ones that I wanted.
