So glad it's back!
Spoiler
Not a ton happened though, well, it started to and now we have to wait! Daryl HAS to come back, his bro's terrible and two isn't a good number to go alone, especially when one is a loudmouth.
I don't get the Maggie thing, it looked like the Mayor (what's his name?) was going to rape her, but then didn't, then she told Glen he didn't actually do it, but then Glen called him a rapest... so was she or wasn't she?
I hope the new 4 come back... they need more people! They may not want to with Rick leading though... buddy needs a break. On a side note, it's a good note to men to be nice to their wives, because otherwise we might die and then haunt you straight into crazytown

Spoiler
Pretty sure she wasn't. Glenn's just acting like a typical man and not believing HIS property wasn't spoiled by another man. Probably will never 100% believe her when she said nothing happened and not be able to look at her without disgust and then they'll breakup. Or at least that's how much faith I have in men. I wondered if Merle was planning to do it in front of Glenn but didn't have to because she talked.
wow ok xD so kinda a long spoiler post, dont peak if you havent been watching the 3rd seasons! xD
Spoiler
honestly i dont think it has anything to do with "was she raped or not" or "glen being a typical man" xD it comes down the what we know happened, the govner was in a position of power and he wanted to scare the girl, he told her to take her clothes off and acted like he was going to do something to her. all of that is very wrong in the first place, hes just a really messed up man (i mean zombie heads in your bedroom plz, not to mention OTHER things, you all know what im referring too! xD I think Glen was just being protective, weather he raped her or not he still made it look like he was going to so i mean he kinda IS a rapist, making a girl strip for fear of her and her loved ones life is still a huge violation if you ask me.
I am REALLY curious to see what andrea does now. Iv never really liked her character, to high strung/emotional for me (not that i disagree with it, i like that she stands up for the individual rights in a time of self crisis) so i wonder what shes going to do, it looked like she was trying to lead these people since the govner wasn't. I hope that she can stop them from going to the jail, for a fight at least, but since half of them are the govners military dogs, i really dont know lol.
i have so many feelings for this part of the season xD and I agree with everyone else, daryl needs to get his crap together and realize his crazy brother isnt as important as the people he protected for so long.
ok iv added spoiler to the topic line, xD just so people who might not be caught up dont have something ruined on accident :p
Follow up comments on this week's episode:
Spoiler
Ahh... so what was saw WAS what happened, but I guess your're right TrueVampiress, the Governor violated her sexually so even if it wasn't as bad as it looked like it was going to be, it makes sense that Glenn would still call him a rapist
Not an Andrea fan either, but interesting in what will happen... most of the town was easily calmed but that won't stop the Governor from up and attacking the prison. Crazy how he justified it because they attacked his town... AFTER he kidnapped people... how did Andrea not call him on that? She seems to really attach herself to alpha-males for a woman who seems to see herself as so strong an independent.
Spoiler
Im pretty mad at andreas position xD i mean shes such a hard character to like. shes so fiercely opinionated, but usually shes like all about doing the right thing and stuff, but she kinda wares on me. but i agree this whole thing, how could she justify this xD, i mean she definitely doesn't trust him as much, but why hasn't she tried to reconnect with the original group? Maybe shell try and merge the two groups? lol, i think the govner will find that a lot of "his people" no longer trust him, since he shot that guy in front of him (even if he was doing him a favor) but he kinda led them to believe that everything was all right wit the world and then BAM. I think they will be looking for a better leader, and i have a feeling andrea will try and take that position.
anyone else wondering how long rick is going to be checked into the crazy hotel? xD I really like him and i hope he doesnt become another shane story lol hes really starting to loose it (not that i blame him)
Ready to start our Arena viewing???
Spoiler
Laurie's ghost!?! Damn it Rick, get it together buddy!
so my cable decided to take a poop RIGHT before this episode started last night. rofl literally turned the tv on at 8 just to start looking for the channel and i saw a glimmer of tv and then blank screen "scan for channels" wat... so i scanned twice and i guess my cable was just being a butt head so i couldn't watch it while it was playing -_- ended up downloading it later. so now on to the spoiler xD
Spoiler
HOW could they end this episode like this! im going crazy.. and how could andrea not be suspicious about the govner being all lalala not going to hurt anyone and then randomly going missing.. what hours later? come one woman. -_- though i doubt she would be able to stop them...
next omfg truck full of zombies? i shouldnt be surprised the govner has pretty much perfected the art of using zombies as his personal weapons. rick better get it together quick because I agree with hershel, Glen might be smart but hes no leader. jeez just so much happening with this episode xD im glad daryl is back but not so happy that merle followed him but HEY maybe hes had some turn around (i very much doubt that) im not surprised to learn that in the begining they were planning on robbing the camp. Poor daryl hes such a sweet bad boy xD
*takes a breath*
well I cant wait for the next one xD i really wish they would have moved out of the prison as soon as they got back from woodbury
So much suspense this week! I couldn't believe it when I realized it was all going down with only 10min left!
Spoiler
Andrea is has to be a completely out of it if she's not SUPER suspicious about where the Governor was! I hope she finally tries to go visit.
That was super fortuitous that Daryl and Merle showed up at just the right time. It was Merle's only chance to get back in with the group though so well done! I'd keep him in a cell if I were them though... once they get back in that is...
I still hope that other group comes back or they come across them and make amends though... they need a LOT of help at this point and that other group seemed decent
Can't wait for next week!
Can you believe
Spoiler
Axel got shot in the head?!?!? Didn't see that coming at all! Rick, get it together and tout suite buddy. I almost vomited at the scene on the bridge...with the baby in the car. Hooray for Daryl being so awesome! Then when Merle rips Daryl's shirt and we see the scars on his back...I wanted to make him some brownies and hug him!
This thread is all spoilers :P. By the way, Hershel is just a awesome. I love the wisdom he brings to the group this season. Plus who knew Beth was such a natural with 'L'il Ass Kicker'.
more to say xD
Spoiler
It bugs me so much that there are now two different groups of people in the prison (there still is right?) we didnt see them this last episode but there was so much happening, we honestly didnt see TOO much of woodbury either. and then the group on the bridge. I know its like incredibly hard to trust people when dead people have taken over the majority of the world and want to chew on you but the original group is getting VERY small, they need more people! especially if there strongest people go off on crazy land or get yanked by there older brother xD.
its all going to come down to this 3 way world war vs zombies vs one group of humans vs the other xD people really need to stop killing each other, do they not realize they are literally causing there own extinction? :P
Spoiler
I might be the odd person out on this one, but does anyone feel that all the "umph" is gone? Season 1 was amazing, and it kept me on my seat ready to see it every week. Season 2 I had to watch after the fact since we no longer get AMC, but I was so upset when the tapes messed up that someone had taped for me. I just had to know what happened with Rick and Shane and all of that.
This season I've been able to keep up with it better, and I was pretty happy with the bigger role Daryl has taken and his becoming more of a rounded out character. There are just so many things though that I was "eh" about. Andrea has started to become somewhat annoying I think. She falls for the wrong guys and always takes their word over or ideas to heart over more trustworthy people. Taking Shane's side over the whole group? Backing away from her friend to have a fling with the Gov? She just seems desperate and sad.
I'm not sure how I feel about Rick's break downs or the mid season kicking back up. It just didn't have the impact on me that it did last time. I haven't even watched the episode from the other day yet. I might just wait till they come out on dvd this time. Again just complaining! I'm sure many still are finding the show amazing. I just don't see the same spark it had the first two seasons.
Spoiler
keep in mind, this is only mid season even though it just started back up recently. I personally am still excited lol, but thats just me. everyones allowed to have there own opinions on things. :P
I agree with you about andrea, shes a character that iv had to TRY and like from the beginning. I doubt shell ever be a favorite. The only thing I can give her right now is that shes sticking with newbury because shes gotten familiar with it. maybe she liked the sense of calm. remember she only ended up in newbury because she got broken up from the main group when hershels farm was overrun. however, she doesnt actually seem to have made any friends so i dont know why she sticks around, maybe she thinks shell be there leader? she was always butting heads with rick before and you can tell she REALLY wants that kind of action. more back story would be nice i guess. then again the gov did sort of threaten her by saying if she left to see her old friends she wouldnt be allowed back.. but i mean hes sort of tried very hard to prevent that from happening xD
It was love at first sight for me with this show!! I've been meaning to post on this thread for ages.
Comments after watching February 2th episode, "I Ain't a Judas"
Spoiler
:throw: at Andrea!! I wish that Maggie had told her exactly what happened when She met the governor-- or that Glenn had mentioned it. He's so into getting rid of the guy... maybe tell Andrea that her boyfriend did a little more than just plain old interrogate Maggie. But then again, seeing as she does have poor judgment, she may have bought some "protecting our people" explanation from the governor for his interrogation style.
Speculations about the episode "Clear" airing on March 3rd
Spoiler
I'm very concerned about the fate of Judith (I like Daryl's name for her better, though) if the group has to leave the prison... which it seems like they might. I mean, how can you stop a little baby from crying and thus attracting Walkers? I guess with good sound-proofing in a vehicle-- and clear roads-- it could work. I've been debating whether I think the poor kid will make it through the season. If she's ever zombified, well, that would be freaky.
Has anyone else read the two novels??
Spoiler
Holy ****! Morgan!!! I don't know about you guys, but this episode has been so hard to watch. When I realized what Carl was after...I almost lost it. Morgan talking about what happened to his son and how he finally put down his wife...his monologue made me swallow very, very hard. I really love Michonne though! She is such a huge asset to the group.
At least they were able to find Spoiler
guns and a port-a-crib
[edit for language - kaoskat]
my comments :p it was a hard show, but i kinda liked it
Spoiler
rofl i LOVED michonne, iv always liked her but now ever more that shes kinda cooling down and warming up to the group, before she kinda reminded me of a stray animal that didnt trust people. :p I LOVE when she comes out with that dumb cat statue xD gotta love zombie priority's haha.
I was happy to see morgan, and a little sad to see him so crazed. but once i figured out what happened, i cant blame him at all. i mean what on earth are the chances of your zombie wife attacking your son?! o____o poor guy! I do wish rick could have convinced him to come along though, gosh I would hate to be all alone.
I want to smack Rick
Spoiler
How dare he leave that hiker to the walkers? What the hell, he has fallen so far from being the hero to some sick twisted monster. Makes me sick. Morgan was right, Rick failed them.
Spoiler
Just saw the latest episode! It was good to see Morgan again but so sad to see what's become of him. I was hoping they could take him back to the prison but sadly it wasn't to be.
I thought the most interesting sub-plot so far was the hitchhiker at the start. Rick and co didn't even consider stopping for him! I guess it is an indication of the world they are now living in. What's to say the guy didn't have five of his mates waiting in the bushes to jump them if they had pulled over? Trust no one! Then again, if you don't trust anyone how can you build a new society? Also, if strength is in numbers Rick really needs to start gathering more people. VERY interesting!
ETA: Just thought I'd dress the thread up a little...

This post is about the episode "Clear" which first aired on March 3 (in the US). I'd Love some thoughts on a few things!!!
Spoiler
Morgan!!! Finally!! I'd begun to wonder if we'd ever see him again, both in terms of how the show doesn't follow typical TV show rules-- he could never have shown up again, perhaps as a way to remind the audience that a lot of people would never find out what happened to friends, and even family, in that Apocalyptic scenario. And Lenny James is a sought-after actor, so maybe shooting with him again wouldn't have worked out. That leads me to this question: Will we see Morgan again? Will Rick or anyone else go back to Morgan's death trap (ha...ha...) of a home? Or is this it for Morgan in the series? The writers and actor, himself, might want him to go out on that high note, of sorts-- that monologue was Amazing!!
I think that the reason Rick, Michonne, and Carl didn't stop to pick up the hitchhiker is that they're finding that it's impossible to tell who they can trust. They could even pick up a good person... but who has a zombie bite they're hiding, which could cause them to turn unexpectedly and attack them. I guess they could strip search everyone, but that would usually require hanging around out in the open and putting themselves and their group members at risk. Or, of course, they could pick up a seemingly-good person who turns out to have ulterior motives and might hurt or kill a group member. Even Carl is discovering that keeping himself and his group alive can require killing or harming the living, or just leaving them to their own luck on the side of the road.
When Carl first saw Michonne outside the prison, he immediately asked his dad if they could help her and was pretty much set on doing that. But Carl didn't say a word about the hitchhiker either time they saw him alive. Especially with Carl in the car, I think Rick did the right thing by not picking up the hitchhiker. He already lost his wife; he doesn't want to risk losing his son to help a stranger. Even Morgan, a man Carl's father had known and spoke highly of, was trying to shoot them (albeit without recognizing Rick) the minute they showed up, and with no provocation at all.
So who Can be trusted? When Carl apologized to Morgan for shooting him and Morgan replied, "Don't ever be sorry," I think that was a good indication of how survivors, in general, have to look at the world if they're going to survive. Don't be sorry for protecting yourself. I hope some psychologists survive because Carl is going to have a ton of issues!! I imagine that the group will have to find a way of choosing who they should take into the group, on some kind of trial basis. That person would have to be watched very closely, though, which may not work while on the run, so then what do you do with them. I'm glad it's not up to me to make those decisions
How many people were yelling:
Spoiler
Shoot him Rick! Shoot the Governor!!
During the whole episode?!
So:
Spoiler
They should have let Darryl let his arrows fly the second they saw the Governor. He's such a monster. Rick, I'm so happy you're not considering handing over Michonne. It's going to be some really rough episodes though. We know a lot of people are going to die.
Did you guys watch this week?!! AHHH, can't wait until next week, just sick seeing the last scene... oh my goodness... I hope this turns around... Spoiler
I'm not an Andrea fan but she tries hard to do what she feels is right, I want her back with the group regardless of how irritating she is and her poor choice in men!
Also re Clear: Spoiler
I thought the hitch-hiker really showed how untrusting they had become, a year ago they would have stopped but now they can't trust that he's not a monster or someone with a bunch of buddies waiting to jump them... I wonder if they would have stopped on the way back. I think they learned a lot that trip, Morgan was a good image of what Rick may become if he doesn't get it together. I think this has got him back in a stronger place mentally. Loved seeing Michonne open up and talk!
kiwimlp, Daryl pics are always welcome... :)
Emuel, I know what you mean about that scene... haunting.
Not really spoilers, just musings about the upcoming final two episodes this season:
Spoiler
I'm very curious about what will happen on tomorrow's episode. I'm wondering which ones won't survive the season, because some of them must not make it. I thought there would be some in the group who I wouldn't terribly mind losing, but I've become attached to all of them, in some way, so it will be hard to see Anyone go. For Carl's sake, I especially hope that Rick and Judith will survive, and Michonne because I think she could become a guardian/big sister type of person for him, and he sure could use an influence like that. Plus, I want to see how the others will react when she insists on displaying that weird cat statue in the middle of the room or something  I love books, movies, and tv series in which the characters don't always survive, because that's the sad reality of life and it allows the story to flow more naturally. It's hard, though, when characters are lost as often as in this show.
Can't wait for tomorrow nights episode.
Spoiler
Thoughts on last Sunday's episode. Melissa McBride's (Carol Peletier) name was listed after the intro but she wasn't in the show. Where was she???? Useless paper pushing guy, in Woodbury. When he blocked Andrea's head shot, she could have taken out the Governor!!! Am not an Andrea fan, find her a sell out. Though I felt bad for her at the end, when she's trussed up and you know been messed with. Someone (Michonne, my second favorite after Caro & Daryl) needs to kill him, in a long drawn out way.
General spoiler leading into the last two episodes. Body count.
Spoiler
My friend said she'd read it was between 27 and 30. Rick and crew can clean out Woodbury. I'm all for that, the Governor needs to be top of that list. Please leave Daryl, Carol and Michonne alive.
Anyone watching tonight??
Why am I
Spoiler
totally crying right now?? Why was it so hard to see Merle as a walker?? Daryl crying...I'm crying too :(

Spoiler
Oh, I full on sobbed like a baby during that entire scene. Simply because I felt so bad for Daryl and I could not imagine what it would be like to have to kill the only blood relative you had left in the world. It...it just broke my heart.
And I did not think it was possible for me to despise the Governor anymore, but I was wrong...I was so very wrong.
Spoiler
I cried too. Poor Daryl.. And Merle was just starting to turn into such a good guy. I can't wait for the Governor to get his. UGH Despise that man so much!
My kid woke up at 4:45am, at 5:45am I was still laying in bed thinking about the episode when he came shuffling in in the dark... so creepy. I had to turn on the light before pulling him into bed... the best part was when I called his name and he didn't make a peep in return! Just slow shuffle shuffle shuffle...
This weeks episode thoughts/comments:
Spoiler
SO sad for Daryl.. there really was no way for his brother to co-exist... cool that he went out by redeeming himself as best he could though.
WHAT"S GOING ON WITH ANDREA!! Not a fan of her character but I REALLY want her to be okay. She can't go out that way...
Also, I hope Glen cleaned that ring REALLY well.
Is next week the season finale?
Yes next Sunday's episode is the season finale.
Anyone else think the episode went by too fast? So much in an hour!!
My friend's cat was laying on me last night and I first though "zombies!". He's a very mellow cat, so he was confused why I was spooked.
AMC is airing the whole series from the start, tonight. Running through till next Sunday. A good chance to catch up.
About last nights episode (3/24).
Spoiler
-Thank goodness Michonne wasn't zombie chow. She gets props for killing them, in interesting and creative ways.
-Meryl had his redeemable moment, when he let Michonne go. Though him turning up as a walker, for Daryl to find. That is going to seriously mess with Daryl.
-Woodbury and crew are going to have, as my friend said "one short, pissed off redneck to deal with". Hope they all get what's coming to them.
At least I have Game of Thrones now! Hooray!
Lol! I was thinking the same thing! That episode was MUCH better!
Spoiler
I can't help feeling cheated by the whole Andrea thing. She got so far and came so close. But dang she took her time with those pliers! Girl you gonna die stop pausing for chit chat!!
I also just don't see where things will go with the governor. Cause now he's just one crazy nut job running around with his henchmen, what can he really do? He's not making another army, now that people know what a nutter he is. It would have been better if Martinez had just killed him or something and ended it.
Ugh. Not pleased.

100% all of this!!
Spoiler
When Captain Crazy killed most of the towns people, I was literally yelling at Martinez to shoot him! Ask my husband, I was so angry at the tv. Not to mention all the annoying commercials. At least The Killing is returning in June (yay!).
As for Andrea, sure she tried to keep everyone alive, but she chose the wrong side. The only way she could have saved everyone was to take out the Gov like Carol suggested.
Did anyone watch Talking Dead??  Norman aka Daryl   I love him:).
Really? I liked the finale...
Spoiler
It left stuff open, but not as bad as a lot of season finale's do I thought... Open enough that anything can happen next season but the major conflict is mostly dealt with.
Oh Andrea, I didn't like you but I didn't want you to die... she did her part though, she just wanted to help and thanks to her, Tyreese was ready to trust Rick when it came down to it so she did help in the end... although a lot of people died because she hesitated in killing the Governor when she had the chance...
Anyone else concerned about Carl? Little Governor in training? Glad his dad brought the others back, Carl needs to learn to trust and care for others again. Boy on boy she didn't have to die though, it was all that chit chat hat got her... did she not hear me SCREAMING at the screen?! michelle53, I was yelling at Martinez too.
The old people scare me a bit. I think the prison is a good choice for the, you can lock them in at night in case any die in their sleep! I don't think I could sleep with anyone post-zombie-apocalypse!
Can't wait for next season!
Really? I liked the finale...
I liked the finale, too. I felt it cleansed the slate for the next season...
Spoiler
...as well as setting the stage for Rick to do what he promised Lori in keeping Carl's humanity. It's also like they've become like the gang from the 1st season that took in the elderly people and protected them. It's a basis to get Carl grounded again and see that not all people are out to get them, but there are those that need help and they should do so for the greater good. Compassion. -- Which didn't help the hiker on the road. I still feel bad for that poor guy.
I can't help it, but I am so glad that Andrea died. The only thing now is who is going to take her place as the person I'll be pinning my annoyance on.
Really bummed that Merle ended up dying, tho. Daryl is my favorite character on the show, so I'm wondering how it'll affect him, especially after it took so long to find his brother. I really liked their chemistry and how different their personalities were after having lived through the same abusive household. The part where they were in the woods and Daryl's shirt ripped and showed his back... Merle's reaction was so full of shame for not being there to protect his brother, it just made me teary eyed. Daryl was the only thing in the world that Merle actually loved. -- I could literally talk about their relationship for hours, but moving on...!
Some random jot notes:
-- Bummed that Milton died. I figured he would, but I was kind of hoping they'd hold him out for a bit longer since Rick's group needs more science or medic-based people. Right now they really only have Hershel and Carol.
-- I love Maggie and Glen, so it was also touching when he went and got a ring for her. The only thing that bothers me about it is that you know one or both of them will die at some point. But love is hope!
-- Praying that Beth smacks some sense in to Carl. She got to kill her first zombie, so maybe she's becoming proactive instead of letting everything happen around her.
I have too much free time to think about these things. :lookround:
