Oh wow, I'm in love! I adore cats and I'm just blown away by how well done these are. You have a great eye for detail.

I'm definitely bookmarking you for the future, as I'd love to keep up with your work, and to possibly commission you for my own kitties someday. :)

Thank you for this thread minimarie, it motivated me to track down Fluttershy. I hadn't realize just how tiny they are, and I'm such a sucker for miniatures.  ^.^

Can I give this a bump? I'm still on the fence about them. Are there only Fluttershy and Twilight as ponies and humans or are there more ponies?

Fluttershy, Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash have been made as both, ponies and their Equestria Girls designs. You can see what the full set looks like on ebay.

Could this be it?

If so, I did a search on the ASPCA's website and they have it listed a being toxic to kitties:

Sorry for the cruddy pic but here are the Zelfs I've gotten in the mail the last week. I am especially in love with Joy Drop. She's gorgeous!

Congrats DazzleKitty! :) Joy Drop is adorable, I just love her design and colors. I think she and Finley are the only Zelfs out of Wave 5 (other than the Crystals) that I've yet to see in person.

I picked up Batrina last week as well, and I think she's my new favorite.  ^.^

I bought today Crystal Zelf Moonicorn!!! She soo cute, she's BF now with Lullaby :)

Awww, great photo! I'm starting to regret not picking up Lullaby when he was still common here - he looks so cute next to Moonicorn. I hope the Crystals start popping up in my neck of the woods soon, the designs on these are lovely.

Why didn't anyone tell me they were making another kitty Zelf?! I just found Wizzkas today and omg she's sooo cute!! I love her! I kinda regret not getting Catsby now ^^;

Lol, I think Whizzkas is what drew me back into collecting these guys. Anything with white kitties and I'm there.

Here's a random question....is there a yellow Zelf with turquoise hair?

There's Sheldon, a large-sized Zelf from Series 4:

Finley was also just released in Series 5 as one of the mediums, with turquoise and purple hair:

OMG, how hard are they to find???  I'd love to have at least one of them perched up with my Bubbles army.

Aww, they'd look adorable next to Bubbles.  :inlove:

Finley was just released. I haven't seen him in person yet, but he should be shipping out with the newer characters. Toys R' Us has a listing up for him and you can set up an email notification for when he comes back in stock: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=58397846&cp=&parentPage=search

I'm not too sure about Sheldon, as I've been out of the loop for awhile and I haven't spotted him at my local store lately. He may still be commonplace elsewhere, so hopefully someone else can chime in. :)

She is beautiful o_o!!!! congrats!!!

Thank you! :) I think I did a little happy dance when I saw her; really brightened my day. I can never find any of the LE, or even just some of the more sought-after Zelfs at my local store. It's usually just two pegs full of the same characters nobody seems to want, so I never would have expected it.

Just throwing it out there, but I manged to find a Pearleen at my local TRU last week and I'd love to trade her for Cleocat if anyone's interested. She's still MOC, and I'm looking for an equal trade. I wouldn't mind if Cleocat's MOC or loose - just as long as she's in good condition and has her charm and certificate.

I adore Pearleen and certainly wouldn't be upset keeping her, but I've been coveting that cat ever since she was released and I don't think I'm ever going to find her at this rate.

Oh wow, Mandy!! I've been admiring your Vidia dolls for a few days now and didn't even know it was your photos!

I took the plunge yesterday with the (Jakks version) Neverbeast Fawn doll. She's just so cute!! Then of course, I went to Wal-Mart to see what they had. Their Neverbeast Rosetta was under a $4.44 spot, and the employee in the toys department couldn't find where they were supposed to go, so she gave it to me for $4.44. I wasn't sure I was going to buy her before then, but I feel like this was the universe's way of saying that I should have her.

I'll probably end up with the limited edition Zarina and Fawn dolls at some point down the road. Right now, I'm just buying all of the pretties that I see.

Now.... how am I going to get that UK Rosetta..... :wonder:

Wow, that's a great deal on Rosetta! It certainly sounds like you were meant to have her. :) I want to grab the Jakks Fawn eventually; her face is gorgeous, and the little Gruff charms she comes with are a cute touch. I'm also coveting her LE doll, she's just stunning in person. I've resolved that if they ever put out Vidia in this style, I'm going to have to camp out on her release day.

I love the UK Disney Store's Rosetta, and I'm stumped as to why we didn't get her, since the Fairy dolls seem to move quickly at my local store. I keep debating if I should try and find a way to get her while they still have her readily in stock, or just hold out and keep my fingers crossed that they start selling her in the US.

I did some poking around online and she looks to be a Marie Osmond Adora Belle Doll by Knickerbocker (specifically "Holiday Cheer," which was a Target exclusive). There's a few up on ebay at the moment. Congrats on your finds! :)

I love the Disney Fairies movies as well! I started watching them with my niece when she was a little girl, and while she's since grown out of them, I still have a fondness for the franchise and I'm really sad to see it ending.

I have to say that the most recent one, The Legend of the Neverbeast, absolutely blew me away and stuck with me a long time after watching it. I immediately ran out and bought a Fawn doll and Gruff plush from the Disney Store the very next day, I just couldn't get these two out of my head. This movie is simply beautiful, and I really admire them for going out this way.

I have a small collection of Vidia dolls (with little snippets about each one on Flickr):

I've personally always loved the earlier Disney Store 6" dolls that came packaged in little plastic lanterns. Their size is meant to be "true-to-scale", and though they reused these molds several times over the years, their outfits were the most detailed here. They made Tinkerbell, Iridessa, Rosetta, Fawn, Silvermist, Vidia, and Terence in this set. Prices for these can be all over the place, but they occasionally pop up for a good deal on ebay.

In terms of likeness to the characters, I think any of the more recent 12" flutter dolls from the Disney Store capture it the best. Unfortunately, they've only made Tinkerbell, Periwinkle, Zarina, Fawn (Ginnifer Goodwin version), and Rosetta in this style. Most of these can still be purchased in-store, though Rosetta is exclusive to the UK, and Zarina is retired.

The newer, 9" Jaks Pacific dolls that are currently found in stores are probably the nicest in terms of poseability, and feature more typical fashion doll clothing, though while pretty, I don't feel they resemble the characters that well. They also haven't expanded their character choices much since releasing them in this style.

For higher end dolls, I also love the LE ones that the DS put out of Tink, Zarina, and Fawn. These retailed for about $60 new, though the price on the secondhand market hasn't really gotten too crazy yet.

Pony Corral / Re: My Little Pony Monopoly?! Has Anyone Else Seen This?
« on: October 25, 2013, 04:17:11 AM »
I saw these at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and was tempted to pick one up. My boyfriend actually tried to push me into it, but not for the ponies. He just loves playing Monopoly and saw it as a way to get me to play it with him more. We already have two different editions of the game and I just couldn't justify the price tag, so I'm hoping it'll go on sale eventually.
