Favorite G1 Type of Pony?

What is your favorite type of pony from the G1 line?
Mine are the Twinkle Eyed Ponies and Twice as Fancy Ponies! I love the Twinkle Eyes and the story behind how they have gemstones for eyes is so strange that I just couldn't be more in love! The Twice as Fancy ponies are a favorite due to the large cutie marks and the small details they have on their cheeks!

The ponies that always resonated most with me were the early regular unicorns, pegasus and earth ponies (I used to call them the originals) between 1984 and 1987. I am not a fan of the collector poses or the sitting ponies, really, but the others I am.

But I also really love the Rainbow Ponies, Princess Ponies and dragons, Twinkle Eyes and Party Ponies/TAF.

And of course, the early baby ponies and the Mountain Boys <3.

The TE gemstone eye story is unique to the UK pony canon, though. It never existed outside the UK pony comic (and wherever that was translated). But for some reason it's gone really viral online xD. In the US and Canada etc, there is no story about how the TE ponies got their twinkles as far as I am aware. Only here.

My all-time favorites are the y2-3 unicorns. Very beautiful and majestic.
I also like the Candy Canes and Raincurls. Curly haired ponies are so pretty, and they have great colors!
I love the diverse array of colors in the Twinkle Eyes
And the family sets are just too adorable!

I also agree with Twinkle Eyed and Twice as Fancy ponies being some of the best. But I agree with Mrs. Prospector about the Candy Cane and Raincurl ponies as well, they're just so pretty.

It's very hard for me to pick just one type. I think I'll choose the flutters, I've always loved their cute little heads and their slender bodies.

The Rainbow Curl ponies are my favourite variety of G1 and I would love to have them someday. Their whole aesthetic feels so joyous, with their big flamboyant curls, cheerful colours and dreamy symbols.

I like the Sweetheart Big Sisters. I like how they look like real horses, and are taller. I also love the really realistic (showtime cuties or something? glam stables?) ones, but I can't recall the name. It always slips my mind. The more horse-like, the more I want the pony!

I like the OG earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasus, the rainbow ponies, the Twinkle Eyes, So Softs, and TAF. I tend to go for the earlier G1 ponies. There are later sets I do like (like the Tropical ponies and Princess ponies), but give me the classics!

NEWBORN TWINS!

@FernMariposa - Princesses happened at the same time/earlier than the TAFs did xD. They're 1987-8, same as the TAFs and the last set of SS ponies were 1987.
