I'll put some autumn pictures here. I still haven't bothered to go for walks because of my cough (except a few times at night, but pictures of those later ). The autumn colors have faded a little, so I haven't managed to take pictures of it this year, but I'll put a few old pictures (I think they're from the year -21) of the maple tree. It grows in my brother's yard. This year it didn't have such colorful leaves.
The rest of the photos were taken this October. The last picture is the morning view from the upstairs bedroom window, trees and sky. There is also a view of my brother's house from the same window, but I won't photograph it.

Northern Lights! Even though it's just green mist now, it still makes me happy! I stand in the cold for a while admiring them, until the cold froze my fingers too much and I had to come back inside. Fortunately, I can peek out of the window at them, and I can watch much more magnificent aurora borealis via YouTube live from northern Finland.

Gorgeous photos! And the Northern Lights! I would love to see them in person one day.

This morning I sat and listened to the birds for a long time. I still miss the tree that was outside my window but there is a street light that the birds will land on and sing. They seemed to be taking turns. There were two starlings, a dove and a mockingbird all sharing the space on the light. Aster was watching them too and making little tiny mews at them

I’ve been seeing some Monarch butterflies lately.  I almost hit one flying across the road today, but thankfully I missed.  They are on their way to Mexico to wait for Spring!!!😁

Now tonight, the northern lights have not been visible in the area where I live, because the sky is overcast and the weather forecast promises a light snowfall.

This is from a few days ago and not the best pic.. but capturing snow with leaves still in the trees are a rare treat. Usually the leaves have all fallen when the snow comes.

A great picture! It has also snowed a little here, but I haven't photographed it, because it has come at night and melted away during the day.

When I was at the cemetery with my mother (I told you about it in another thread) we heard the sound of a tawny owl. That atmosphere was exciting, because it was already dark, old graves around us (+ one just buried), a chapel, an owl and Halloween is coming.

HoM, how spooky! I would love it too

Yesterday as I was sitting out on my stairs, a house sparrow was in the tree next to me. I don't think they stay here yearly. If they do, I never see them.
