Right? This generation's toys are quickly becoming a hard pass for me.  :(

I wonder if they're the same size as the brushables. That does seem really really small. Ah well. I've always got my old ponies.

The pics on that twitter were fun to look at. The stickers are pretty cute! But oof, that color difference in the Pipp figure's head and body...

I don't mind the small size personally.

I don't mind the small size myself. (Less space they have to take up.)
However the toy/plastic does come off as cheap to me...

That's one of my primary concerns as well. The more I look at the pictures, the more Pipp looks like a cheap McDonalds toy. :yikes:

Sigh, MLP's quality just took a nosedive...  -_- We know Hasbro is capable of producing beautiful ponies without those cheap looking seams. I hope Hasbro will pick quality over quantity. I would rather have 5 beautiful new ponies than multiple re-releases that are all of mediocre quality at best. (And I don't think a gazillion neat accessories can compensate...)

I do not mind small ponies either, but 4-4.5" is already very small for young children. Younger children might have trouble handling ponies that are only 3" tall and relatively thin like Pipp. Just look at Fluttershy: she looks like a bulky giant compared to Pipp! That's just crazy! :D Another concern is that a lot of people own G4 ponies. It makes more sense to make G5 at least as tall as G4. I doubt G4 will be able to use the slide because of the size difference.

The castle looks better than I expected though.

The ponies just get smaller and cheaper looking with every generation, don't they? Unless Hasbro steps up their game, the only ponies from this gen I'm interested in so far are the styling Sunny and Izzy.

Also, I just noticed that their cutie marks are so far down on their flanks, and they're scaled so small. It looks so wrong! And on the brushables, they have less colors than the official designs do. Hasbro should be embarrassed that they're pumping these fakie-quality toys out.

The unicorn party set emphasizes the weirdest thing about this generation so far--that even though Hasbro is marketing unicorns like crazy, there's only one unicorn in the main cast, and Alphabittle's the only other named unicorn in the movie. You'd think with the unicorn craze that all the toy companies are jumping on, there'd be greater unicorn representation in this gen.

And why does Izzy need two horns?

I like Sunny's symbol,  I just wish she was paired with more unique hair colors. Orange/purple/pink is so overdone.

I also don't mind smaller sized ponies (as a kid I loved tiny things!), IF they look nice. Those comparison pictures... oof the quality doesn't look good at all, sadly :(

The quad bike is one of the most random merch pieces I've ever seen, that's so amazing xD

I agree with the McDonald's toy comparison!

And smaller than G4 even...? No wonder they come with so many accessories; they have to fill the box with something!

Btw, isn't that joint on the hind leg a little low? (i believe it's called a hock?)

Yeah, I don't get the unicorn thing, either. Why not just make them all unicorns instead of giving everyone a unicorn headband?

I'm wondering if the shade difference is because she's translucent and has darker colored hair.
