Ebay postage calculator
« on: August 08, 2014, 08:06:03 AM »
I measured and weighed a box before posting an ebay auction and set ebay to use calculated postage. Now ebay has only charged my buyer $8 to ship. This is for four MIB monster high dolls plus 11 loose dolls. There is no way I can ship for that. Is there anything I can do?

This is why I do not use the calculator and use a flat rate. I have heard stories like this way too often. I'd like to hear replies as well.

I am the same way. Their calculator in the past has got me on a few occasions....for International none the less.  :faint: I about died.

I am not sure what you can do at this point. I know you don't want to eat the costs but you might have to.  I say that because the only two options I can think of for you, might land you with a negative.

At the beginning of my description I post in bold letters *eBay shipping calculator is often incorrect...please ask me for a true shipping quote* that has helped me a lot, especially when dealing with people from overseas. I always get two copies of the shipping reciept as well, and include it in the sent package so they can see that the price is what they paid. If I make a mistake I either eat it or refund them the difference :)

I wish I would of just put in an amount. There's no way this is going to ship for $8. I don't understand how ebay thinks it could.

okay this package is over $30 to ship. I'm not doing it. I've offered her a refund. We'll see what she says.

Well she got upset which I suppose I might have if I had won a lot like that for almost free shipping. But I sent her refund and no more messages from her. I'm just going to list everything here. Just to much ebay nonsense for me.
