I noticed that a lot of rehairs have ridiculously long hair and manes that look like they were rehaired and just never cut. I'm not a huge fan of it, even though it does look pretty and brushable/braidable! :blush:
What about some rehairs with cuts to the same length/style as the originals? I saw a chart that gave precise lengths for each ponies for rehairers.
So I am curious since I haven't seen that many, where are all the 'short' haired rehairs? :) Or maybe I've seen them and wasn't able to tell it was a rehair! Ha!

Ooh I'd like to see these too! Yeah I'm not a fan of that ridiculously long hair. I understand it's probably because they don't want to waste hair, but it just looks excessive on a little pony!

oo yes! these would be neat to see also  I love the intricate  long hair dos but shorter is nice at times

Her hair is a bit longer than your average pony, but not super long.  I wanted her to have floor length ringlets.

Brighteyes--Very pretty!  Looks like the child of Posey and Trickles.  Or Posey and Pretty Vision? :)

I'm also not a big fan of the super super long rehairs . . . it just seems impractical for an equine!  I think part of the problem though is that it's probably pretty difficult to get a rehair to look right short--you can't just cut it straight b/c MLP hair isn't like that.  And curls with nice ends are tough, at least for me!

I think a lot of people leave it over long so that new owners can style or trim it as they wish :) I think when its an alternate rehair there is so much more room for creativeness but I will admit when a pony is rehaired in her original colours I much prefer it to be the length of the original release.

It's also surprisingly hard to get a nice clean cut when you're trimming pony hair!

Restoration rather than custom, and the length is cheating a little bit since the hair was "donated" by an otherwise amazingly baity Starshine. But I agree, I actually really like the shorter, or at least more manageable, hair myself.

Oh - she looks cool!  I confess ( :blush:) I'm not the biggest fan of customised/re-haired ponies, and I'm also in the camp of if it's rehaired, then I personally prefer it to be the traditional length. Having said that though, that Firefly is wonderful - and I love her rainbow glitter symbols!  :)

I agree! I got a re-haired Paradise with super long hair. Took me ages to trim it up nicely!

^^Ugh, this is so true! Here's my Minty rehaired (for the second time cause the first time I used the wrong color  :huh:) and when I tried cutting to length I ended up with this choppy disaster. After butchering her mane I was too scared to trim her forelock. Might have to rehair her for a third time and hope the plugs hold, then invest in a decent pair of actual hair cutting scissors, and start way longer and work up.
