Trader & Shipping Support / Paypal help!
« on: July 29, 2019, 01:00:27 PM »
I won an auction on ebay from someone in Canada(I'm in the USA), and it won't let me pay the invoice.  It keeps denying it.  I've called up Paypal, and they told me the issue is on the seller's end.  The seller called up Paypal, and Paypal told them the issue is on MY end.  So, very useful.  Thanks Paypal.  You're always there for your customers.

I'm trying to pay through a bank account, there is MORE than enough money to cover the cost of the item.  This account has been active and confirmed since basically Paypal came into existence.  I used this account before AND after this issue started up with no problems(I did a test BIN just in case, and it went through fine).

Has anyone had this problem before?  Any idea how to resolve it?

MLP Nirvana / Piggy pony cleaning advice
« on: July 18, 2019, 03:15:51 AM »
I just got my first Piggy pony!  I'm in love:p

So, she's a lovely pony, but she could benefit from a bit of a wash.  Her hair is lovely, but it's got that "sticky fingered child touched this" feel to it.   It's not bad by any means, but she could look even better with a little bit of shampoo and conditioner.  However, I am very, very reluctant to get any water near those eyes.  They're pretty much perfect - eyelashes and all - and the last thing I want to do is introduce rust into an almost perfect pony, especially one that was so expensive.

Does anyone have any experience with cleaning piggy ponies?  Is it worth the risk?  She's perfectly lovely just as she is, so leaving her alone isn't any kind of problem.

Pony Corral / MLP Movie site up!
« on: August 04, 2017, 08:06:49 PM »
My husband is the creative director of an online media company that specializes in websites and online marketing for movies.  He's been working on the MLP Movie website for months, and it's finally gone live:
http://www.mylittlepony.movie/

He designed the whole thing.  I think it's awesome, I hope everybody else does too:)

It's a big site, so there is some loading involved.

Trader & Shipping Support / Ebay help please!
« on: July 13, 2016, 01:22:40 PM »
My husband ordered something for me from ebay as a surprise birthday present, and apparently there have been problems. He didn't tell me about it until just last night, and I've spent the morning trying to track down a missing package that is hard to track, and hasn't been updated since the 7th.  It's an international package that apparently made it across the world and through customs to get sent to the wrong local post office, and then eaten by a post office that really doesn't care(I was there today, and hope never to return!).

Anyway, I'm helping him try to sort this out since he never does ebay stuff, and I seem to have bumped into a change to an ebay policy that I'd like confirmation on.

We're still trying to find the package, but if the worst happens, how long does he have to open a not received claim?  It used to be 45 days or 60 days after you paid, but I went to the site to check, and now it says 30 days after the latest arrival estimate.  For anyone who's opened a claim recently, is there any place where it tells you the last day you can open a claim so you can be sure? Is the 30 day after last shipping estimate correct?  Its latest shipping estimate is July 19th.   I want to give this package every chance to arrive, but I also don't want my husband to lose  however much he spent on the present.

Thanks!

I Know a lot of people here are buying toys for kids this year.  It looks like Bunchems(those little plastic burrs that are new this year) are something to avoid.  They get stuck in hair something fierce(being artificial burrs it's pretty much their job to do that).

An article with pictures of some of the many children who had problems:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/stephaniemcneal/bunchems-hair-woes#.st5WGPKNV

Most of the kids ended up losing most or all of their hair to these things.

I read all the amazon reviews.  They also stick to carpets, blankets, and pets.  One unfortunate person claims to have gotten drunk and made underpants out of them.  That did not end well.  If you are buying for a household that has children with long hair in it(any children at all, even if this is meant for a child who doesn't), you'll probably want to rethink Bunchems.

Sigs & Site Support / Navigation bar suddenly disappeared
« on: February 19, 2015, 03:56:39 PM »
I've had some issues in the past with random settings being changed in my account(most often the date resets itself to the wrong time zone ALL THE TIME, so I just leave it now, and other reoccurring problems as well).

Unfortunately something new started to happen and it's really driving me crazy.  The navigation bar on the left has completely disappeared for me anytime I'm signed in.  It's this way on every device I own, so I'm wondering if some setting got changed in my account that got rid of it.  I have to go to a separate page to switch between forums.  I can't seem to find anything in my profile that mentions the navigation bar, but the lack of it is making my time at the Arena a lot less pleasant.  Is there any way to fix this?  Unfortunately, the pattern has been that once something starts getting changed in my account randomly like this, it continues to do so forever no matter how many times I reset it to the correct settings.  However, I'd at least like the chance to bring the bar back for whatever limited time I have before it disappears again.

Thanks for any help!

Pony Corral / Looking for a website - G1 stickers
« on: January 08, 2015, 02:37:24 AM »
Hi there:)

I'm looking for a website.  It's a gallery of all the puffy/flat stickers that came with the G1s.  It's got photos of all the stickers, and is really a great site.  The person who owns it is a member here, but I can't seem to remember the name of the site.

Does anybody know the site I'm talking about?

Pony Corral / Equestria Girls dolls Black Friday deals on amazon
« on: November 27, 2014, 04:34:55 AM »
Amazon is running a bunch of black Friday deals starting now.  They run for a set period of time, and have a list of all the upcoming deals.  There seem to be a TON of Equestria Girls dolls in the upcoming deals section.  Mostly basic dolls and Rainbow Rocks.  They don't show the prices until the deal is live, but some of the other deals were 50%-80% off.  They seem to be scattered throughout the day, but amazon does say when the deal will be live so you'll know when to log in.

I don't collect them, but maybe some other collectors can get a sweet deal.

Pony Corral / Anybody see the latest episode of Storage Wars?
« on: November 11, 2014, 10:31:24 PM »
The new season of Storage Wars started tonight, and I got a surprise while watching it.  They "found" a bin of G3 ponies and a large plush Pinkie Pie in one of the lockers.  It ended up being one of the featured items for the episode.  They went to get the  bin of G3s and the plush valued by a brony.   The information he gave was slightly less than accurate, and he sang a song about ponies.  It was quite weird.

Trader & Shipping Support / Warning: Paypal phishing scam
« on: October 12, 2014, 02:05:59 PM »
I just got a reasonably official looking email telling me that my Paypal account has been "limited" and that I need to sign in using the provided link to fix the issue.  Riiiiight.  The #1 problem with this particular email is that it was sent to an email address that is not, and never has been, attached to my Paypal account.  It got through my spam filters though, so they're doing something right.

Anyway, just wanted to give a head's up.  It's got the correct Paypal logo in it(though it's got some grammar issues), and with all the new polices going on, some people might be tricked if they're not paying attention.

Here's a copy of the text:

Pony Corral / Looking for a current G4 Checklist
« on: August 06, 2014, 09:14:51 PM »
Does anyone know of a up to date G4 checklist?  Strawberryreef's checklists haven't been updated in a year, and I really need something that picks up where it left off. I've got a year's worth of stuff to catalog, and no checklist to do it!   I'm looking for a checklists that have the same sort of items as the ones on Strawberryreef(brushables, fashion size, major plush releases, playsets, blind bags, etc - mostly the official toy line including all re-releases).  I don't need much outside that for merchandise.  And I don't need Equestria Girls, just MLP.

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Ty Beanie Fluttershy question
« on: July 13, 2014, 09:31:30 PM »
I just bought a Ty Beanie Babies Fluttershy and that I didn't inspect too closely at the store.  Her hair was tied up with a rubber band, and when I took the rubber band out, the front part of her mane is significantly longer than the back.  The back is shorter, and a bit uneven, and since I got her from the impulse buy bin next to the registers at a Michael's, the chance of there being bored kids + scissors is there.

So I was wondering if she's supposed to have shorter hair in the back, or should I take her back and exchange her for a better one.  I've never bought one of these before, so I don't have any reference.  All the pictures of her online seem to be product shots that don't show her hair from that angle either.

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Question about which G1s came out where
« on: June 27, 2014, 01:43:27 AM »
I'm attempting to organize my G1 accessory collection, and for the non-USA items, I'm trying to group them generally by country/area.  I am not 100% sure which pony lines were UK exclusives, and which ones were available in the UK and/or other parts of Europe.  I have a general idea about a lot of them, but I'd like to double check.  Basically, I'm looking to see which items came out only in the UK.

The way I'm "coding" each item is as follows:
UK: UK exclusive, not available elsewhere
EURO: Lines that were available in the UK and other countries in Europe, or just in other countries in Europe

I also have subsets for Greek and German exclusive items, but I know what those are.

Here's what I'm wondering about:

Hair Do Ponies
Great Hair Ponies
Baby Applejack Play 'n Care set
Baby Bowtie/Baby Lemondrop carriage sets
Cookery Ponies
Schooltime Ponies
Seaside Babies
Sweetie Babies
Good Weather
Rosette
Roller Skating Ponies
Sweet Kisses Ponies
MLP Tales Ponies
Sweet Clover's Picnic set
Princess Sparkle
Tutti Fruitti's birthday set
Princess Dragons
Nurse Ponies
Family Ponies(Berrytown, etc)

Thanks:)
