Tough question!

G1: Bright Eyes, Galaxy, or Dabble
G3: Starcatcher, Wondermint
G4: Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack (and far too many side characters to even begin listing)

That's AMAZING! What a cool way to get into it!

Thank you! I was definitely not looking to start collecting at the time, but how I started just endears me to my herd even more.  :inlove:

Hi! It sounds like you have a great collection. It's so cute that your son helps you find ponies ^.^ I've seen you around the TP too, glad to see you're over here :D

Thanks, and so good to see a familiar face!

I collect G1-G4, and my collection started while I was still pregnant.   ^.^

It was the middle of summer and I was already whale size and looking for an indoor hobby. My husbands best friend owns a toy store and had some bait ponies he couldn’t get rid of, so I said I’d learn to fix them up for him. The more I fixed up, the more I ended up keeping until here I sit with way more than I know what to do with!

My son loves them too though, he thinks it’s a great treasure hunt to go to flea markets and help me find ponies.

Hello Everypony!

I’ve been here before, but honestly I haven’t posted in nearly 3 years so it’s time for a renewed introduction.

I’m Kallile, but feel free to call me Kal. I’m a married mother of a very rotten soon-to-be 5yo boy who is my whole reason for collecting. I work for a veterinary hospital as a surgical tech assistant and have a herd of nearly 1,000 ponies in the short 5 years I’ve been collecting them. I’m also on the trading post forums, if you feel like you recognize my name.

I hope to be around more often this time, and to get to know some of you!

Thanks everyone!

If I had to pick a favorite I think it would have to be Creamsicle. I happened to find her with a lot of other G1 ponies that were caked in mud and what I'm going to guess was once soda at Goodwill for $0.99 each. My son is currently obsessed with anything that has a giraffe on it. Even though I know he will grow out of this phase eventually, I consider Creamsicle a nice little reminder of when two of our obsessions met at one point in our lives. (And to those interested, the whole lot cleaned up wonderfully and look gorgeous once again!)

Hello! Feel free to call me Kal, a little 'ole collector from West Virginia, U.S.A.

I've been a member at the MLP  Trading Post for a while now, but only really active in the past few months so I decided it was time to hop over here too!

I'm a married 27 year old with an adorable 1 year old son. My husband has collected Star Wars since the 90s. I actually never watched MLP growing up--by the time I was old enough to appreciate it, it wasn't really around too much and by the time it made a comeback with G3 I was in highschool and the overly girly styling was not cool to be watching. I actually fought watching the new series until my roleplaying friends finally broke me down.

Then I watched the first episode....then the second to finish the story arch....then the third and fourth and then I had to admit that I was hooked! The interest led to me collecting plushies and blind bags from G4 until our mutual friend who owns a vintage toystore got in 4 ponies from the 80s that he was debating throwing out.

I found the MLPTP in my search to find out how to clean them properly, and joined up. I didn't keep those original 4 (though now I kick myself for it) and, being at the time pregnant with my son, was determined I was not going to collect anything for myself.

As the year progressed and our store owner friend sent me more and more ponies to clean up I found myself asking to hang onto more and more of them. Back about 2 months ago I finally caved and dove in headfirst to collecting.

Now I have around 200 ponies from G1, G3, G3.5, and G4. I still have so much left to learn about collecting them and really enjoy seeing what everyone else has managed to find.

I'm usually a quiet and reserved person, and it takes me a while to feel like I can really open up and be myself. I recognize a lot of names from the Trading Post, so I look forward to chatting with old and new friends!
