I cut a chunk out of my finger with my penknife....ouch. So now I have blood everywhere and a really sore finger, plus the challenge of keeping it from getting infected. The moral of the story is, don't use a penknife late at night ('but I'll just quickly do this before I go to bed!'. No, not a good idea).

My mom is having some neighbors over and they're just sitting there and yelling about the pope, I can literally hear them all the way here, I just don't get old people sometimes...

A bird dropped a bit of rotini pasta with a bit of a sauce on it into our yard. My dog picked it up and tried to eat it, but I took it away from him. Now he is a bit mad at me for taking away his precious.

A cast iron fire poker fell on my foot today, pointy end first. Could've done without that! :yikes:

I used to do my laundry at 5am when I lived in London. It was the only way to guarantee access to the machines without having to queue. Sure I drove the people with rooms on that floor mad though, even though I tried to be quiet going back and forth xD.

I've had a list of things to do for months at work that I haven't been able to get to.  Today I decided that I was going to go ahead and do 4 of the things on the list that I KNEW wouldn't take long to do but that nobody has been letting me get to.  It took me half an hour.  Seriously, I just wish people would let me handle my work MY way.  It would be done and out of the way, opening the path for other things.  But if we don't do it the stupidest way possible, we might be mistaken for intelligent creatures and that would get us sent straight to h-e-double hockey sticks and we wouldn't want that.

I was told Thursday at work that lunch would be provided yesterday for the staff.  I always bring a lunch to work but yesterday I only brought a drink.  When lunchtime came, I found out that there wasn't any food provided unless you had preordered a meal (I wasn't given a chance to do that) from a food truck. I had no cash on me.  One of my coworkers had extra food for lunch that she let me eat but I felt really bad that I had been misinformed and had to rely on someone else to eat lunch.  If I could have skipped lunch I would have but I learned the hard way that skipping lunch doesn't work for me.

I have one more box of this terrible cat litter to go through before I can order something else. I'm tired of washing the litter out of my cats feet.

I've been having trouble with the external speakers plugged in to my computer for a while.  Sometimes I have to turn the volume all the way up on the speaker to hear the audio clearly for the video I am watching.  Today I bought a new set of speakers that weren't the cheapest ones the store had but also not the most expensive ones either. The are bigger than the old set so I had to make more room for them to sit on my desk. I tried testing them out and so far I can't tell if they are slightly better or worse than the speakers I had before.  The sound isn't distorted but I've already had to turn the volume up on the speaker all the way once.  I'm hoping the sound was just low on the video I was watching and that I didn't just replace speakers for no reason.

Ponyfan - Do you have Windows 10? An update recently messed up audio for a lot of people. I had to fix my mom's laptop. Try reinstalling the driver for your sound.

I have Windows 10.  I first noticed having to turn the speakers up much higher a couple of months ago.  I tried looking for the sound driver but all I found was Realtek audio and no way to reinstall it.  Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?

I'm sorry, I said reinstall but I meant update.

Type device manager in the search bar and open it. Go down to sound, video and game controllers. In the list, right click on your audio and the option to update driver is there. If it says the driver is up to date then I guess that's not the problem.

It said my driver is up to date.  I haven’t tried streaming videos yet with the new speakers (I’ve only listened to music or YouTube videos) but I will soon.
