My dog decided that 3 AM was the perfect time to make me get up so that he could go outside and sit in the snow while he watched cars go by.  He didn't have to pee, there was nothing in the yard...he just wanted to sit in the snow and watch the cars on the highway two fields over.

SERIOUSLY???

Our cat did that once. We were keeping him in because it had been snowing heavily and his usual way of getting in and out (via a window) was too icy. 2am, he's crazy to go out. Oh well, we thought, he probably just doesn't like the litter tray and wants to nip out and do his business like he usually does. Next thing we're standing at the door in the freezing cold, watching him skip about playing in the snow . Quite cute really, but not at 2 in the morning!
Animals: cute, yet also frustrating

It's going to be 17°C today.  :pout:

It's mid-December.

I have a frikkin Christmas tree.

I have frikken snowy decorations everywhere.

Say, why don't we celebrate Christmas on the balcony this year? Hold my lemonade while I put out the garden furniture! :hmm: :green:

Don't worry, in ten or twenty years you will look back to this post and realize it wasn't actually that hot :P

It's already getting there! XD A few years ago I was afraid of 30°C during the summer, now I am happy when it's "just" 30°C after two summers with 40°C...

I wish it was that temperature here. Right now it is minus 2. But we won't get anything nice like snow or frost to make it Christmassy for the big day this year. No. It will rain. As it always does.

I think it's time to change the lyric to "I'm dreaming of a wet Christmas" as the official British version of the song.

Though today was quite frosty and bright, that was also unhelpful since I was plant salvaging and the last thing plants need when you're trying to rescue them from coldness is...coldness.

It's been two days on the trot that my bus to work has been a no-show. I have two days left before I finish for Christmas, surely Arriva can get their act together for that long at the very least. :\

Methinks you expect too much.

Arriva only seems to work well in two places I've experienced. One, London, and two, Malmo in Sweden :P

Oh Lord, you have Arriva there too? Same here. I could write a book about them. >_< There's also a new bus schedule since last Sunday, and it's pretty much rocket science. My brains were not designed for this.

Yep, I've been catching buses (or at least attempting to) long enough to know better but my naive optimism will not be defeated! XD It's nice to know that Arriva do manage to deliver a decent service in some pockets of the world at least; they may be faint glimmer of hope for them yet.

Oh no, schedule changes are the worst! Especially when you've gotten so used to the previous one that it's practically become second nature and then you have to change your routine to suit the new one. Absolutely ghastly. Good luck with the new schedule!

Not to make this a bus topic or anything, but the garage local to where my folks live has two crowning timetable change achievements.

One - when they changed all their bus routes, including renumbering and relocating most buses, on the same day it snowed heavily and half the routes were cancelled.

Two - when they managed to route a bus via five different routes within the first week of it running, so that nobody knew what its actual route was. It wasn't meant to come by my parents' house, but I caught it there twice. Once they took the trouble to stop to inform us they weren't picking us up.

Also Arriva.

Man, I wish I had a bus to complain about. I'd love to live somewhere with public transportation. One of the reasons I never got a driver's license was because I took the bus everywhere in my hometown. Then I moved to the middle of nowhere, twice! If I move again, it'll probably be back home to the city. I'm tired of living in the outskirts.

Critics going on and on about how bad Cats is, clearly they need better people who understand the musical better than them.

I mistook the hour hand on my clock for the minute hand, so now I have no idea what time I actually started cooking and it's a mystery as to when the fish will be ready. It's completely scuppered my timing for doing the vegetables as well! D:

I read a review of The Witcher yesterday, by someone who openly admitted to never have read the books or played the game, but had watched enough walkthroughs and gameplays on youtube to understhand the lore and to get and give an accurate point of it. According to the comments beneath it the person had clearly not seen enough as things she complained about was exactly as in the game, including the voice of the actor. It was a fun read, but yeah, I agree. People should know about the things they're reviewing.
