Yes, this is definitely the effect of chemical cleaning! :( I have a white spotted French Bowtie with the exact same issue & her former owner told me what caused it. Mine has been in my collection for about 10 years & the spots have never got larger... not that it is much of a help. :huh:

I never heard back from the original seller but am sure that chemical cleaning is to blame.

French Bowtie has found a new home amongst another collector on the arena, and I let them know before she was sent home that she did have the fading caused by the use of chemicals :( I was sad to see her go (and a little curious about how white she may fade), but I'm happy she found a new home!
