Its hard to say for sure if shes a fakie or an end of the line release like in the UK..
After holding her in my hands, I tend to believe that she is the latter because of her body and hair quality...
OK so here I have laid it out in lists...

Things that match up to mexican ponies:
- plastic type
- hair type, quality, thickness, and length
- double row of plugs in mane
- factory weave of mane

Things that don't match up to mexican ponies:
- washer
- no outline of black around the circles of the eyes
- no symbol
- Same type of plastic but it is slightly thinner

Ok so below are some photos and again I will join forces with maycrestmom to
get her opinion as she has some mexicans to compare her to.

Heres some photos:

yay  can't wait to get her next to prince ruby to compare hair and plastic = love pony-peep gatherings :-)

strongest possibility to me as an explanation for why we don't see many mexi flutters is that she could be a mail order or other limited release = like the US dabble = did mexico have a pony club like US, UK etc.?  It's basically the same low volume reasoning for the sundae best purple hair MLPs

strongest reasoning for fakie - mexico big brothers and her eyes don't look anything like a mexican (which is odd as even the mexi bro'fakies have kinda mexican eyes, but it's the real squishy plastic too)

we'll see = yep = a cool variant and at least we now have a version with an original tail :-) yay

My off the cuff impression from holding her for the first time
Was. Yep she's real. Just because of the plastic and hair.
But yes those eyes are troubling and are questionable  Hmmm.  I can't wait until I get a second opinion.  :)

ha ha funny you should call it out as a "verdict"

more like a humble opinion

Here's what I think and hopefully some folks from mexico or collectors who consider themselves more expert about auriken ponies can add to this thread

I brought my prince ruby pony to compare to the flutter

the hair color is the same as the prince, the body plastic is the same... honestly, mine was a tad faded but I could see how the color of the plastic was the same shade (popped heads off etc. to see the darker pink color)

To me, fakies have generally poor hair issues - one row and not well rooted.  The flutter had two rows and a lot of hair ... for a fakie, which I don't think it is at this point.

Auriken had those other purple hair ponies - the ice cream / sundae best ones - that were a "special" variety for those respective playsets.  The way I understand the history is you did not know which was in the box, so some had regular playset ponies and some had those white with purple hair ponies as a surprise.  So honestly, as much as the flutter in no way has what I would term "Mexican" eyes, it seems that since this one is now the third confirmed that it is more likely another "special" = like maybe a mail order pony such as scribble and dabble.

I went home and looked at the two( scribble and dabble) I have and honestly, this flutter's eyes do resemble these MO pony eyes to me, so I don't consider the eyes a huge difference and a way to rule out completely in that regard.

The weirdest aspect to me was how thin the body was and the position of the legs - not like any of the other flutter ponies...

so I have no idea how the mold was done to make this flutter ... I've seen how with a G3 fakie it is just a tad smaller since it seems likely the mold was a Hasbro original that was poured into so that the resulting casts are similar, but smaller.  In this case, the body thin-ness suggested maybe this method was used, except that the position of the legs are not like any regular US flutter - honesuckle is the closest, but her foot position is different and I think Ember has pics up of that fact

so yah, my take is that this was either a mail order or a special-of-some type for the Mexican market to explain why it is so rare these days...

To me, it just seems too unlikely to be pure coincidence to use that purple hair and have a similar body plastic as existing aurikens and not be made by auriken and just a complete knock-off even though I cannot explain how it is that Mexican flutters look the way they do if they are official Hasbro since this "flutter" mold seems to be unique... again it resembled more a dabble pony in that sense

but I am no mexi expert... just that is how I saw it when we did a pony comparison...

so like I said, if there's any pony out there that can add some better knowledge I am all for knowing more since we all know = the flutter can't talk (much as I would love to hear her story!)
