Takara MLP brochures (Warning: Extremely Adorable Pictures!)

These are the two brochures that were included with the Japanese Takara Ponies. This is a more accurate reference of which products were available than the Takara 1985 catalogue (which shows a lot of items that were never released, and prototypes that vary considerably from the finished product). Not ALL products are shown in these brochures, but we'll get to that later.

TT___TT;* Both of these pamphlets talk about the pony comic... makes me think that if both of them mention it  , it might actually exist . Last time I tried finding about it, I didn't come up with much. But here is the text again :

I'll dump the intro text here too, incase anyone wants to figure it out. I for some reason figured that Lily and Popo were the daughters of Pinky and Milky. ... I am thinking they are little sisters instead. Dunno why i assumed kids.

Yes! It does mention that. I've tried to find a Yoiko from 1985 but it's hard to find this type of magazine from a specific year. Don't expect too much of it though. It's targeted at children of ages 2-4, these types of magazines generally have thick pages and not much content (compared to publications targeted at kids in first grade and up). By "comic" they could mean just one or maybe two story pages, with large pictures and little text. It might even use toy photography rather than illustrations. Of course, I still really want to see what it looks like, so I'll keep searching.

Rough translation:
When a beautiful rainbow appears in the sky after a rainy day, you can go to Ponyland! It's a mysterious place that no one knows about. There is a sparkling lake, a hill of lily of the valleys, as well as Pegasus Mountain. This wonderful land is the home of Ponies.
Pinky and Milky are two twin little girls who really love fashion. They have fun styling their prided long hair into various hairstyles, and trying on dresses to be fashionable. Pinky is pink with purple mane and tail, and is just a wee bit precocious. But she takes good care of her little sisters. Milky is cream with pink tail and mane. She is a real tomboy. But she is actually very much a spoiled child.
Then there's their little sisters Lily and Popo, these two are also twin girls.
