Got to laugh,strangest ebay message ever. Where's my item from May 2011!!!!!

Hiya,
 
I got a message today through ebay form a person that wants to know if I can help with a pony they did not receive from May 2011. I checked through my paypal and it was a TLC pony that sold for £0.99. 
 
I checked my messages and I have nothing from this person until now, no disputes, no poor feedback, nada, zip, nothing at all. 
 
So I have sent a polite note to say that had I been aware of a problem at the time, of course I could have helped, but after a year, there is nothing I am able to do.
 
What IS in the water these days?

Wow a year before they said anything! Think they maybe got you mixed up with someone else? Either way there's nothing you can do but be polite but firm and tell them it's out of your hands. Wow does make you wonder what they are thinking though.

After a year you can't do anything.
But maybe she sent you the message for mistake?

She sent me the item number, and named the pony.  She told me she had just seen another of the same pony on Ebay that reminded her she didn't get the one she bought from me.
 
I do wonder if she did get the package and has since misplaced the pony. I have a habit of losing ponies in my herd sometimes.

That's just...weird..... Doesn't everybody stalk their postie when they're expecting ponymail? You would have thought a year was a looooooooooong time to stalk the postie...

Wow....what is going down on ebay at the moment...

You are completely right with your response back of..."if you had known closer to the time you would obviously have been happy to help, but 12 months is a little late to raise it as an issue." She would have got an equally polite and probably more dismissive response from an online retailer if she waited that long to contact them! I would think its more likely a misplaced pony as well...easy to do.

I hope you message back draws a line under it for her.
