It you do decide to return her be warned - you don't usually get the same pony back and some people even have had G3.5s sent to them! (all that old stock they can't get rid of).

Can you return it to the store you bought it from? Even if it's opened you still might be able to return it, depending on which store. I know Walmart won't even ask for a receipt; as long as they're still selling the product, they'll take it back.

Might have better luck than if you try to complain to hasbro and possibly get a G3.5 instead.

Well, I did email Hasbro last night, and this morning I received a response saying I would be sent a replacement Pony.

I wasn't asked to send back the defective one and there was no return address, so I'll wait and see what Hasbro actually sends me first. if it turns out to be a different one or something from a completely different gen, I still have the original receipt and packaging from Target.

Well, I received my replacement yesterday from Hasbro and it is indeed a luggage wave Pinkie.

Honestly I was prepared to get some sort of G3.5 thing. The package was crushed somewhat due to it being in a large bubble envelope, but as far as I can tell Pinkie looks alright with no defects.

I do wonder if the issue with previous ponies is that HB simply dont have stock on earlier waves - i.e. they cant replace a Lily Blossom if they dont have any Lily Blossoms...
