PM messages not sending?

Hello all, i apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place!
I'm currently trying to contact someone to trade with, we were talking fine and today I try to send a message and I see up on top of the unsent pm "user cannot receive personal messages" is there something wrong here or a general error? Thanks so much for any help...

I am unaware of any errors at this point in time. Can you PM me who you are trying to get ahold of and I will look into it?

I know sometimes PMs dont go through but you cant tell that they havent. It hasnt happend (to my knowledge) very recently though and  I havent seen any notifications like that one   I think  that letting us know who you were trying to contact as Ponylady suggested will shed some light on the matter

    Yep! Hathorcat did a little switch-a-roo on me when I wasn't looking and then I became attached to the sweet little thing.

I will say that I sometimes have issues with the tapatalk app sending messages sometimes.
