Congrats on making it to day 8!

I tried doing Insanity a few months ago and I don't think I even got to day 3. So believe me when I say I'm impressed! (I'm currently doing Jillian Michaels videos) I hope you're able to get more energy for playing with your daughter!

I can't watch online supposedly because I dont have cable. Stupid NBC! So I am watching via BBC streamed to my tv.

Stupid NBC indeed. I'm still outraged by their "coverage" of the opening ceremony. They shouldn't be editing things out, ESPECIALLY not the terrorist tribute (because "it wasn't tailored for US audiences")
Can you imagine if America was hosting the Olympics and had a 9/11 tribute that BBC edited out?

I wish I had the money for the big sets! I also really want ones from Star Wars, but those get to be mega pricey. I hope they come out with more LotR ones soon

I know at SDCC Joss Whedon talked about a new season but I think he was just talking about a comicbook, as I don't foresee any way they could bring back the tv show.

I agree with others, on that you should set aside money each month- in general, dogs aren't too expensive but you never plan on accidents happening. Anything from getting in a fight with another critter, to accidental poisoning, to ..whatever you can think of, vet bills can EASILY become very expensive, so it's always good to have at least a few hundred in savings for them. And I disagree with whoever said no to flea/tick medicine in the winter- you don't know about any other dogs yours will come in contact with, maybe it just vacationed in the south and picked up fleas and now spreads them to your dog...

Also, just something to keep in mind, adult dogs are way more relaxed and sleep much more than young ones, but also small dogs are MUCH more hyper and harder to tire than big dogs.
And most shelters, if you can prove that you'll provide financially and talk with them about how you can work around your schedule (ex. come home on lunch to let the dog outside for a few), they shouldn't have a problem with you living in an apartment. (though you DO need to talk to your landlord before, some have very steep costs for pet deposits)

I know plenty of dogs that do well with people who work full-time jobs, my main concern is the fact that as you said, you JUST graduated and got a new job. The new dog WILL need a good deal of attention, especially in the beginning, which means that even if it would be good for your career if you stayed later or worked overtime, it won't be good for the dog. But even more importantly, you're young in life. I don't mean that as a bad thing, just that if you have a dog waiting for you at home, doing things like going out to the bar and drinking after a long day at work... not the best plan. Especially since you should be getting up early to make sure to take the dog out before going to work. Trying to restart a good social life and taking care of a dog can get hard- you shouldn't agree to go out to dinner after work, or go out to the movies, or spend the night at someone's place getting frisky.. I'm not saying you can't have any fun, just that your dog is fully dependent on YOU, and it's not fair to the dog if you end up being gone 12 hours most days and then want to crash soon after getting home.
There are ways around it, of course. I know a couple who both are in grad school as well as working, which does mean they're gone from home a lot and so when they want to see friends, they invite us over to their place- whether to grill out food, or watch movies, or drink.. that way, they're still home with their dog but they also can see other people. I'm just saying it's another thing you should think about and plan for.

I saw it last night and it was AWSOME! Every bit as good as I hoped if not better. I laughed so hard for some scenes.


I was however really annoyed when people walked up and left during the end credits. Hasn't people learnt that as long as the lights are out, there are bound to be something more inte the movie? Never walk out until they light the room or you'll miss out on something! And sit down for heavens sake! There are people behind you who want to see that last scene as well!

I went to the Marvel marathon (started at 11am and showed all their movies- Iron Man, Hulk, etc, then the Avengers at midnight) and it really annoyed me then. It's like, seriously? We just sat through 15+ hours of movies, in which YOU SAW that each movie had a teaser at the end and now you're going to get up and walk past me to leave right as the credits start to roll? Can you not make the connection of 'all those other Marvel movies had something at the end, and this Marvel movie probably does too'? Ugh.
But if I see a movie after the midnight release, I just figure that those people came back to watch it a second time and already know what happens.


Also, in one of the interviews before the release, they were asked something like what they did once all the filming was over and Chris Hemsworth answered "Had some Shawarma"- which now makes perfect sense

I honestly can't pick a best part, but it did bother me that black widow and the agent woman whose name I can't remember were wearing heels the whole time. Why would you make heels part of a uniform?

Agent Hill. And to be fair, they aren't really heels, as it's all connected so it's more stable than say, stilettos. But I agree, especially with all the running and whatnot that they have to do.

I really liked it, though I know their stories pretty well so I was kinda more critical (and I do wish it was Edward Norton was the Hulk..)
