We’ve been making fajitas & homemade pizza weekly lately. They’re quite good!
For Thanksgiving, it’ll just be me & the hubs this year, so we’re only making turkey sandwiches with stuffing and cranberry sauce. He’ll probably cook us ham steaks on Black Friday. Something simple and easy.

Our weather’s been glorious lately. I’ve been enjoying taking walks during my breaks.

I’ve kinda made a friend at work. It’s so difficult for me to make friends. I understand she’s likely a friend by proximity, but I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts.

Oo, I love broccoli cheese soup! Yum. I made stuffed bell peppers; they came out delicious! I’m having them for lunches. I’ve been making eggs for dinner every day lately; it’s so quick & easy. I want to make some queso to go with chips and salsa soon though.

I’ve been living off of jerky, protein bars, & instant potatoes with no access to a fridge working these ridiculous hours. It’s alright; it’s only temporary! I really want to make some stuffed bell peppers soon.

I appreciate your condolences Ponyfan, BlackCurtains, and Heart of Midnight. And hugs to everyone else as well. I had a much-needed therapy session after the events of the week. Whew, I’m grateful for a 3-day weekend (it’ll be a normal 2-day weekend for me since my last day of working for the elections dept is on Saturday). I need to recuperate; I’m so mentally and physically drained. Ready for the R&R!

I celebrated most October watching spooky movies. I did a lil pumpkinhead photoshoot as well. On the actual day of, I was ballot processing on a bipartisan team.

Thanks for the hugs Ponybookworm, Beth3346, Taffeta, and Leave a Whisper. It's not a US problem, but a world problem - misinformation is catching.
Yes, I recently attended a webinar regarding MDM (Mis/Dis/Mal-information). It’s an epidemic because social media is incentivized to prioritize fear-based stories in their algorithm because users are more likely to interact with it. (cha-ching! )

I worked polls the past 2 days. You’re not allowed to leave when you’re a poll worker in my county. My old black lab’s health got much worse suddenly (she was already deaf and mostly blind) to where her hips weren’t working any more, she was incontinent and not eating or drinking, so my husband had to take her to be put down yesterday. I couldn’t be there to say goodbye to her or be there for my husband. At least she’s not suffering. Rest in peace, Clover. Also, my knees are killing me from all the setup, walking, standing, helping people, and break down from 5am to 10pm.

Casper 9/10★ It’s still a solid movie! I just love Christina Ricci.
Hereditary 8/10★ It wasn’t super scary, but it did give me the creeps!
Ghost Ship 5/10★ The opening scene was the best part of the movie, IMO.
A Go! Go! Cory Carson Halloween 8/10★ Actually very cute for a little kid’s made-for-tv movie.
The Wild Robot 9/10★ I’m quite surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. As an animal lover, I was smitten. Rich characters and storytelling!
Coraline 10/10★ I’ve seen this movie maaaany times, but I simply adore it.

Baked potatoes for lunch this week. It reminds me of when I was in 5th grade, and I went to school with a potato bar. I ate a loaded baked potato every day. Man, I loved that school.

Addams Family 8/10★ Not as good as I remember, but still solid.
Addams Family Values 10/10★ LOVED this one! More Wednesday, Pugsley, and Pubert-centric.
Jennifer’s Body 6/10★ Not awful, but not great.
Coherence 5/10★ All that build up until the lackluster ending.

Immaculate 7/10★ One of the better horror movies I’ve seen in awhile. Might want to look up TWs though.
Book of Life 6/10★ Second time I’ve seen this. Not too shabby.

ParaNorman 10/10★ One of my favorite movies.
The Craft 10/10★ I love this movie too.
The Crow (new version) 6/10★ I don’t understand why it got so much hate.

Lady Frostbite, that sounds so fun! How did it go?! Today I’m working and going to the library to pick up books that are on hold for me. Later I’ll watch my favorite streamer continue playing Undertale on Twitch.
