G1: The happy feeling I got inside when I used to watch the films, it would make any bad day get better.

G2: Reminded me how much I missed G1.

G3: Pretty ponies looking almost as good as they did way back when I was a child.

G3.5: Meh...

G4: Pinkie Pie reminds me that no matter how crazy I get I'll always have friends to keep me grounded (even if only slighty)

I like how G2 had a lot of nobility other than princesses, like Ladies and a few Princes and Queens ^^

G1 - besides variety, I really like just the general look of g1 best.  All my favorites are g1s and I like their chubby bodies best,  :)

G2 - color combinations, clip-on wings and tiny accessories.

G3 - I like their colors and the Pegasus wings.

Ge.5 - um. . .  The hair on the super long haired girls is really well-rooted.  :)

G4 - the cartoon is very clever.

G1:  Plump ponies!  They remind me the most of Shetland ponies.  Long hair, chubby build and color variety. Our neighbor had 8 Shetlands that I used to snuggle and groom.   One was orange with blond hair just like Applejack.

G2: Those little gems in their eyes.  That's what sold me.  So pretty!

G3:  I think these are the prettiest of all the ponies.  I don't have very many, but there is something about the plastic that really seems to shimmer.

G3.5:  I like the artwork and the playsets looked like fun for a little kid.

G4:  Lauren Faust's vision for the ponies cartoon.  I really love how she referenced G1 and made ponies so much more intelligent.  However, the toys don't really look like ponies and their huge eyes made me think this was a toy for toddlers. But they are cute and I have a few.

G1: I love all of there different poses that were made of them. I love there cute little round bodies! They bring back a lot of great memories for me. Loved the movies that they did for them.

G2: Did not have any of them.

G3: They are want brought me back to the pony world. I love how close they are looking to the G1 ponies.  I loved the smell and bright colors they all came in. The movies were cute, just could not watch them for very long. They came out when my daughter was born. They were her first ponies.

G3.5: Did not have any of them.

G4: It took me a while to warm up to them. I thought they looked a lot like deer with there big ears. But then after a while I thought I would give it a try. I did and I am hooked now!!! I love how little they are all. And they look AWESOME when they are done as custom G1 ponies on there bodies. :)

I love ponies so very much!!!!! I love everything about them!

G1:  the variety in symbols/colours of the ponies.  No matter what kind of colour (pastel, neon, etc) you preferred, there were ALWAYS tons of ponies that would suit your fancy.

G2:  The small jewels in the eyes.  Those are such a cute little touch that some might pass over, but I just think they're precious.

G3: The link between the movies and the toys.  Which ever new movie came out, there were a bunch of toys involving the main characters (Wysteria, Minty, Pinkie, etc)

G3.5:  The hairstyles are adorable!

G4:  um...still thinking.

G1: They're absolutely beautiful and really epitomise childhood! And their chubby little faces are just so damn cute!

G2: They were around when I was growing up in the nineties so I remember seeing them in the shops and they really do have some of the most intricate and exciting designs.

G3: I had an awesome time collecting them as they came out in the shops. In fact seeing them around shops was one of the reasons I started collecting. Also designs like Desert Rose are just stunning

G3.5: I guess they're a kinda cool nod towards Japanese chibi styles.

G4: My mother always taught me that if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all :)

G1: My absolute favourite of all gens. The reason I like them so much is that they were my favourite childhood toy and they are just so cute. Oh yeah and they were ALL different ...therewas no 350 releases of one pony. Oh and the accessories-LOVE!!! :dribble:

G2: not keen on the ponies, however the colour combos and amazing playsets are unbeatable IMO.

G3: I think the super long hair ponies are awesome and the ponyville playsets! Also the like the G3 cartoons :)

G3.5 uuuhhh...don't like anything about them Im afraid

G4 I like the fashion style ponies, they are too cute!

Here are my favorite things about each generation.

G1: This generation was the only one that actually did the different themes well.  You had ponies with symbols that changed with the touch of a finger, baby ponies that drink and wet, ponies made with different shapes within their bodies, or ponies covered in multiple cutiemarks.  All the variety was what made me love them.

G2: These ponies also played around with the "how many different things can we do with ponies?"  We can make them move by the push of a button, give them wings and make them glitter, and give them some beautiful accessories.

G3: These ponies had beautiful colors and personality.  My favorite of all was Minty and Starcatcher.  If anyone saw A Very Minty Christmas we saw that Minty was the original Klutzy Pony.  Sometimes a bit of sugar is a good thing on a bad day and ponies helped me after a rough day of classes.

G3.5: Not much I liked about these guys except for the Newborn Cuties.  They were sweet and colorful.  I also have one Rainbow Dash with long hair.

G4: The show is amazing and the toys I love the most are the Blind Bags.  They compare to the Petite Ponies of G1 and the Ponyville ponies of G3.  The brushables are cute and have adorable little animal companions.  The show is full of adventure and lovable characters.  I thank all the past generations for being there and helping this one come alive.

G1: These were my favorite toys as a child so they have so much nostalgic value.  They are the epitome of magic, rainbow, princess, unicorn, ballet, pastel, candy 80's childhood!

G2: I like their logo the best.  The pony in it just looks so sweet and magical!

G3: I love their symbols and color combinations the most.  For display purposes these are the most fun to collect (for me)!

G3.5: The Ponyville playsets look like such fun!

G4: I like these characters the most.  The smaller size is a nice space saver when collecting too!
If wishes were horses, they'd be My Little Ponies.
Thanks to moonflower for my adorable adoptable!

G1: Villains, variety, playsets, colors, nostalgia, size, smell etc. There was just so much that the toyline had to offer.
G2: ADORE their sleek bodies and the little gems in their eyes
G3: I love how they were similar to G1s but had magnets in their feet
G3.5: Some of the ponies had amazing colored bodies. I found them to be really vibrant in regards to hair as well.
G4: Alicorns and Villain toys. I love how sleek and graceful the princesses look. It is also the first MLP toyline to produce villain characters as toys.
