I think the rep said there were no plans for seasonal ponies in the future if I recall correctly, but I wouldn't take her word at face value. She said herself she's very disconnected from the product development team. I think to see such a finished "prototype" and then not have her be made would be very unusual.

An interesting fact, Hasbro still has the trademark for her name, and has been actively renewing it since the 80's

actually that pricetag does not seem that out of the ballpark for this pony imo.   i wish i had her, i would never pay that but she is EXTREMELY rare.  i think there are only a handful of protos running around.     and it's G4 and look what the bronies spend on just custom plushies LOL   i could see her getting bought up for that price by a hardcore g4 brony collector perhaps

that being said, hasbro please release minty i have an army to comeplete!

Oh yeah I saw that auction last week. I bet the owner was like "I love my Minty, but could be persuaded to sell it for $1000".

There are only like 12(?) of them or less probably in circulation. Hasbro reps said no plans this year, and no seasonal ponies, so we will see. At least they weren't like "No way never!"
