Does any of you collect the Lil'/Mini Bratz dolls (not the child-versions, but the mini-sized versions of the original characters)? I am just about to put up for sale a few I have*, I'm wondering if there might be any interest in them here on the Arena :)

*They are the best example of what I said above: I love the detail on them despite the teeny size, but their looks and style are just not my cup of tea. They deserve to be with someone who appreciates them :)

I do, wondering how much you're thinking of. I've not seen many for sale tbh, so I have no idea how much you want for them.

How many do you have?

Thankfully the wayback machine has our backs. And most of the pictures seem to be loading. You might have to check through different years if they aren't.

Your collection is brilliant.

Mine are currently in boxes (getting ready to get their hair all fixed up and dressed), but I have around 100 (possibly more, I've never counted), the bar, the space angels car, the mini coupe, and the pretty 'n punk phone booth. A lot of the dolls were gifts from relatives, or birthday and christmas gifts from friends, or I have collected after I started working as an adult.

One of my fave recent finds is the giant Cloe, nearly complete (sadly missing her hat) (this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bratz-Cloe-Collectors-Doll-limited/dp/B00026RGH2)

I really wanted her when I was a kid but I never asked for her as we weren't super well off. Best thing is, she was in really good condition and I found her for $20 at an op shop (thrift store)

She's gonna take forever to show up in australia :/

I don't think we ended up getting the first curvy mtm, but thankfully we got the second one, and hopefully we get tall mtm.

We still haven't gotten the wwe gals.

Quality is a bit hit or miss, but I adore the ones I have.

She is my absolute fave, I have her dressed in this skin. It's the stellar skinz gali lexi. The hair is a wig, and it does have some issues with falling off (and I don't have the wings and tail in, btw the tail fits the mh dolls, if you want to cast it or paint it)

I also have a couple of others like this one

And I can't remember the other 3 I have (they are currently in storage)

Their clothes can either be cheap or nice, again the hit or miss.

Shoes are pretty awesome, and the glow in the dark planet stands are cool as hell.

Their eyelashes are ridiculous but I love them, they are glittery and stupidly long.

The makeup is so alien and awesome. I just love the idea of them and I wish they had more lines, and that more had actually made it into Australian stores (I had to buy most of mine online)

I'm gonna pick up a couple more on ebay soon, there are 2 or 3 selling $30aud new in box, and honestly I am happy paying that for an interesting doll like this. Definitely wouldn't pay more than 30nib unless you fall in love with one.

Pick one up and see how you feel.

Are they going with a soft reboot and keeping it in a similar style to not get the fandom mad?

Like was that the reasoning they gave?

Because I bloody well hope not.

Let it finish. Let it die, give it a good ending, then give it a few years wait and really change the style as you always do :/

I do love the g4 art style in the animation esp (really not a fan of the g4.5 molds, the open unpainted mouths are so creepy, if they had paint maybe they'd be better? but even then they are still *shudder*)

Maan only like 5 pages in, and I'm definitely gonna be rehashing a lot of other peoples stuff haha.

I love the eyelash ponies, they are just so cute. Even though when they are unruley they look like they have giant caterpillar eyebrows, I adore them. I only have one, but I will get more eventually.

G2's are probably my fave gen. I have specific ponies I love from g3 and g1, but I just love the goofy goofy g2's.

I like tinsel, so long as it's not too unruley. It can be tamed usually.

I really like bbe ponies. I saw a tutorial for modding them into normal babies and I felt like crying a lil tbh. Like you can de-rust them, and sell them off.

Well, I should say why I took a break. I had a severe health downturn.

Like developed 3 chronic illness downturn.

Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and ehlers-danlos. The latter I've had all my life, just in the last 3 years it's really gotten in my way haha. Oh and at the start of last year I developed pretty crippling migraines.

So a lot of money went into getting that under control. I still loved ponies and everything, but I didn't have time to deal with that as well. Thankfully I'm Australian so the government took care of a lot of it. Otherwise I would be in a lot more trouble.

I am in a much more stable place health wise now so I am able to get back here and I've got my ponies back out of the boxes they've been trapped in since I moved into this house like 2 years ago :P

It's been really hard to get everything unpacked properly while my health has been so bad.

But I am back now and will hopefully be more active, I'm doing some customising (found some prepped ones, and some half done ones that have to be redone because they are terrible)

Pony Corral / Re: What are your pony goals for 2019?
« on: January 08, 2019, 02:14:16 AM »
1. Making up better displays. Getting them displayed, I have a loft bed and room to display quite a few.

2. Selling quite a few of my rare g4's. Mostly doubles (International exclusives, first wave ponies with only one release, ponies with bangs etc), so far, looking at ebay sold listings, just for about 6 of them I have about 300aud worth without their things and I have their things. Mine are in beautiful condition, other than one head body mismatch that was very common with that pony which is infuriating. Mostly been in boxes or on display in dark rooms.

3. Cleaning up some of the g1's and g3's. I don't have too many to get through, mostly just some hair work, and some mild cleaning. There are a couple that will need sun fading and maybe even one that might need some zit cream (she is white and not worth much money and very very damaged)

4. Just appreciating my collection. They have been in boxes since I've moved into this house (I've been here 2 years haha), other than my first wysteria (she was the first one I ever started with, I was given 4 from a friend) and a couple of g1's.

5. Coming on here more often. I've been away for a very long time.

The Dollhouse / Re: Cutting Dolly Hair ~ Tips Please
« on: July 04, 2012, 01:15:35 PM »
When you are cutting the hair, section it like you would cutting human hair. Take most of the hair up, and holding the bottom section (layer) cut cut it to around the length you want, holding the hair section between your index and middle finger. Then take the next layer, using the first cut as a guide line. Continue in this manner til all the hair is cut. This way, the hair will fall naturally, and you aren't trying to hack away at too much hair. Use a tail comb to section it.

Barbie clothing fits Liv dolls, really quite well :)
(barbie have a larger bust but smaller ribs, and liv have a smaller bust and larger ribcage balancing it out)
