Pony Corral / Re: Stalking Ditzy Doo 2012

I feel like I must be misinterpreting something here.

As far as I can tell, Hasbro had a "one Ditzy per person" rule, presumably to give everyone an equal chance at getting one, and/or to prevent scalpers from buying up all of them on the spot. Seems fair to me. And then I see this thread, full of people who are actually bragging about breaking that rule by using multiple shipping addresses. Nobody minds that? Really? I've no interest in Ditzy personally, but judging from the 80+ pages of this thread, there were a LOT of people who really wanted one but didn't get one. Placing a second order using a different credit card is kind of like getting a free sample at the grocery store, then going around a corner and putting on a mustache and hat, then getting back in line for another free sample. Except in this case the free sample is a very sought-after (and not free) pony.

I dunno. I'm not even involved in this. *wanders away*

I have a lot to say about the skinny-shaming debate, but due to the mod intervention in this thread, I'll take my remaining thoughts on that to The Pony Forum Which Shall Not Be Mentioned. Short version: Skinny-shaming DOES exist. I've seen it, and I've experienced it firsthand. 'Nuff said.

Anywho. I'm not a huge fan of the new Ursula, but it's due to the reasons Shockponie brought up...the drawing is pretty, the doll is not. The dress is very poorly executed, it doesn't have any of the elegance of the concept drawing, and her face is too angular. They should kept her face a bit more rounded, I think. I don't have any problem with her having a normal Barbie body though. Maybe she just pulled an Oprah and lost a whole bunch of weight. :P

So glad other people have this issue too!

The smoke detector in my apartment is directly across from the bathroom in the hallway, so it goes off pretty much every time I forget to open the bathroom window before taking a hot shower. I've taken to leaving a Frisbee next to the smoke detector so that I can fan the steam away quickly when it decides to go off. :P
