Spoiler I wouldn't say there are no Misfits...
There were actually 2 pony cameos! When the girls are playing music & dressing up in the garage, there's a giant plush Frilly Frocks in a plastic bag in the background. It's clearly visible in several shots. In the flashback scene, that's definitely the 25th anniversary Cotton Candy. It has bright pink hair. I think the other pony was a Fashion style Princess Cadance. I'm a huge Jem fan & went into the movie with very very VERY low expectations. I will say that it exceeded my expectations & was a reasonable good story brought into a believable modern-day world. There were a lot of nods to the original series (some not as obvious as others), as well as well-placed cameos from people involved in the original show. If you are on the fence, give it a chance.
At least you guys have to be happy they brought her back. Or at least what looks like her
Oh well... At least they tried!
Wow, a giant plush Frilly Frocks? Every generation represented except the one that would actually be sold in 1999. (I think G2s were still sold in the US at that point.)I wonder if Hasbro supplied plush Frilly Frocks.
Sort of off topic, but I noticed that the Jem "soundtrack" has popped up on Spotify... and it features Hillary Duff, for some reason?
The camera's time stamp says it's November of 1999.
