Think it like this: if we buy them, Hasbro will notice that we like G1s, so maybe they'll do brushable versions In my opinion they are really cute, but I'm afraid they will be big... I don't mind big ponies, but I don't have enough space

I understand that move, I'm sure it is to bring mommies who played with G1s to buy MLP toys again for their babies. Any way, it's a stepping stone for more G1 brushies, don't you think?

It's a step up from not having them at all.  We have been seeing more and more G1 merc lately and I think it is a good trend.  There is always the possibility that Hasbro will release some as G4 brushables.  ( I think it is unlikely that we will get the G1 moulds again)

Babies need toys too. The real question is, do we really need G1 that look like G4s?

I would buy G1 to G4 brushables.  The characters make me feel nostalgic while at the same time they don't look exactly like original G1s so I don't feel like I'm buying something that is just a copy of an original that I already own.  That was the problem for me with the 25th anniversary retro releases.  I suspect that there are a lot of collectors that feel that way.  And as others have stated,  if they choose well known G1 characters, they will pull in the average mommy who grew up with G1 while still appealing to current little girls who won't know the difference.

That aside...  I'm excited that Hasbro is going to a younger audience (preschool) AND bringing in G1.   This gives me hope in the direction MLP is going.

Oh my gosh they're too cute I need them!!  They look really cute as chibi ponies.  I hope they come out soon because I will totally get at least a few of them,  maybe more if I like the size and everything once I see them in person.  Since they are for little kids, I imagine they'll be around the size of a G4 brushable, maybe a little smaller or a little tiny bit bigger.  That way they would be a good size for little kid hands and also be big enough not to be a choking hazard.  And that would be good since they would be easy to display at that size.

I saw these on that powerpoint! So cooool! I was sitting jumping up and down at a Sundance. So excited!!!

And if nothing else this finally proves the copyright claim about no Firefly in FiM as the nonsense it is lol. I love that they are using these characters somewhere...even if its for an under 3 years old market.

I don't care if they're baby toys, if they really are G1 characters I'm totally buying them
