Has anybody done it?

Any tips on how to separate the arched wall and roof from each building?

Just for storage reasons or for shipping? I have always found them to disconnect easily enough but you need to get the building at the right position :P

Shipping. If I can make it pack into a box easier, I can ship it and therefore sell it easier. I wonder if mine might be glued because the one I tried to take the roof off was not for budging!

I've taken one apart for shipping and then mine for storage.  I found both times that some pieces will come apart and some absolutely will not.  I had to pull pretty hard to get anything to budge but if it didn't look like it was going to, I just stopped so it wouldn't break.

I've wondered if applying heat with a hair dryer would soften the plastic enough to get it apart.  It would be SO much easier to store if the roof would come off!

The one I shipped, I had about half of it dismantled and half together.  It required a big box but it worked out okay.  I sent it via fedex for $36 domestic about a year ago but I see you are not in the US!  I thought the shipping was pretty reasonable here in the States but don't know about yours!

Thanks Aadra, I too was wondering about using a heat gun. I may try it to see (obviously being careful that I'm not stretching the plastic).

I should've sold the collection a year ago - worked for a mail order company then and could've sent the entire collection, playsets included, for £10 in the UK and most of Europe, or about £25 worldwide. Kicking myself over that one but I didn't decide to sell up until this Christmas just gone ;)

*facepalm.  I totally have a heat gun that I use for paint stripping and it never occurred to me to try that.  I'm sitting here with a little hairdryer!  I'm a doofus.

It didn't really help but I got one side loose and then got confident enough to use a bit more brute force on the other side. The roof was actually OK - taking out the internal wall was harder! There is definitely a knack to that though.

I don't know whether a DIY heatgun would be hotter than a craft heatgun so just be careful ;)

Oooo! I am glad you got it apart. I will admit I had to get the right angle on every part trying to disconnect it - it is indeed a footer. Its the grip parts once slotted on they are just not supposed to come apart I guess! :(
