Hasbro Didn't Do It, but G1 Boy Unicorns and Pegasi

I was always disappointed they never made boy unicorns and pegasi.  As I got older and learned more about the brand, I started forming headcanons to fill in this gap.

When I learned of the U.K. Mountain Boys, I thought they would make great unicorns.  Their personal magic would be related to their respective elements.

I had to come up with original ponies for pegasi.  I nicknamed the set the "Island Boys" and are named for tropical weather patterns and events; Monsoon, Hurricane, Jet Streak, Trade Wind, Pineapple Express, and El Niño.

I then went into sea ponies and flutter ponies.  Sea ponies Manta Ray, Undertow, and Breakwater.  Flutter ponies Dogwood, Catalpa, and Saguaro.

So, are there boy ponies you picture as being different species?  Do you have ideas for boy ponies that are completely your own?

Well, newborn unicorn Sniffles is a boy, this is a quote from MLPwiki

In true pony style, everyone took this in stride and simply moved them into the Lullabye Nursery. Baby Lucky named the pegasi Dibbles and Nibbles and the unicorns Sniffles and Snookums. He further explained that he had called the lilac unicorn Sniffles because Sniffles is "a boy's name." (Newborn Sniffles is a boy in the UK.)

And in nirvana ponies like Mexican Prince Sapphire (Misty) and  Italian Re Unicornio (Majesty) are boys   

I don't remember a pegasus boy right now, but in the spanish latino of the G1 cartoon, Whizzer is  a boy

I have always maintained that Hasbro missed a massive trick with not making the Mountain Boys unicorn and pegasus. If ever a set needed it - it was them. I also miss the fact the Baby Bros did not feature at least a pegasus in Baby Countdown.

I love rays so I am extra partial to Manta Ray

I wish they had made more boys, period. And any boys at all in the G3 line would have been so cool!

I would have loved to see Rockin' Beat boy ponies! The Prince ponies could have had heraldry shields for cutie marks
