Just came across a few childhood pics I've never seen before and thought I'd share. I never get tired of these threads - please show me yours, too!

One more - my old Home Sweet Home I carted to my grandparents' place once a week - my grandfather recently passed and this photo really made me smile. He loved playing ponies with me.

These photos fill me with so many good feelings <3 I'm sorry about your grandfathers passing, but I'm overjoyed you have such good memories of him.

:hug: for your grandfather. Mine also used to play ponies with my sister and I. He passed away in 1999 but before that when we'd go to the carboot sale, he'd always insist on seeing what we'd got, he'd play games with us around the ponies and he often gave us loose change which went into carbooting as well. I only had 2 grandparents mostly growing up, one on each side, and they both used to buy us ponies for Christmas or birthday sometimes, but mostly those would be chosen by parents for them.
But I remember one day in particular when for some reason Grandad decided to treat Naynie and I to a pony each. She chose Starglow, I chose baby Soft Steps. I still now don't know why I didn't choose an adult because I could rarely afford to buy them - but I really wanted a ballerina baby. I still have her, and Naynie still has her Starglow too. Ponies with lots of love in them :) The best kind.
Grandparents are great, and so long as you have the memories, they're always still there.
I don't have any pictures with him in with the ponies I don't think. I have a few from childhood but my family don't like me posting pics of them online so most of them I can't post.

I have no childhood pony pics to share. I think the only time that ponies made in to photos or home video was one year on my birthday I got Pina Colada and Starflash and my dad happened to be filming. My grandmother bought me quite a few ponies. I remember her buying me the Birthday Party set, Twinkler, SS Twilight and I think Sugarberry also (and maybe Mirror Mirror.

I have no childhood pony pics to share. I think the only time that ponies made in to photos or home video was one year on my birthday I got Pina Colada and Starflash and my dad happened to be filming.
That is...the weirdest coincidence ever. Because those two ponies absolutely don't make sense together, right? Completely random.
BUT my sister and I had them for Christmas one year, one each, and we have a lot of photos of that Christmas with those two ponies.
The same ponies you had and were filmed we had and were photographed. A whole world apart o.O.
That's seriously weird. But quite cool too.

Thank you all for your kind words - my grandpa was 92, and I had a good 30 years with him, so I feel lucky in a way. It's nice to see these pictures after so long and be reminded of that.

Those are such lovely photos from your childhood. I love seeing pictures of childhood birthday parties, they're such special memories.

Apart from that accessory pack still in its box on the table, not from this birthday that I can recall. I did also get an ALF doll that year, though :P

Aaww, that’s so sweet! I love that your grandpa played ponies with you—you both looked like you were having a lot of fun. :)
I wish I had photos of my own childhood pony adventures. X3 I always ran from the camera as a kid, lol.
