I'm just going to post this here instead of starting a new thread for such a tiny bit of info, since it's related to BF, hope that's okay.
Hasbro's latest earnings call mentions "We saw positive early results in Q1 from LITTLEST PET SHOP, now manufactured and distributed by Basic Fun." No word of MLP in the entire transcript. Bit strange, since retro G1 has been going for 5(?) years now. They did say that "Hasbro is a Games, IP and Toy Company in that order" I've been to several stores walmart target and outside of Dollar General there is NO my little pony ANYTHING in them anymore here in Kansas atleast the part of kansas i'm in. not even g5 ponies i only found those in dollar general and its the first runs.
It's as if MLP doesn't exist anymore :/

I love it. I wish more time had been taken in drawing the ponies, and that they looked more like the first two specials, but I still liked the movie!
yeah i wish the movie wasn't split between several chinese studios the quality seriously suffered for it
None of the animation was done in China... it was by Toei (Japan) and AKOM (South Korea).
Splitting animation between multiple studios is generally standard practice for western cartoons. Usually it works out fine and you'll only notice the switches between studios if you're really looking for them (for movies, anyway).
The actual problem is that one of the studios they picked was AKOM AKOM's output back in the day (I don't think they're doing much these days other than Simpsons?) was VERY inconsistent and variable, sometimes they'd turn out nice-looking shows and other times it'd be all over the place, and that's putting it mildly/politely, lol. TVTropes has a pretty good rundown of some of their more infamous screw-ups (scroll down to the "lazy artist" section), to give you an idea of what they're like.
ah i forgot which studios did what, i just know from talking to an old teacher that worked on it shortly. that the studios were bad at communicating and marking what ponies were supposed be where and who, which was why the canyon chase and the Ogg scene had the wrong ones.

humans have stripes
They're called Blaschko's Lines and are in our genetic code and can only be seen under UV light! They're usually a V Pattern that kind of swirls down our backs and wraps up our neck and around our arms. Supposedly cats can see our stripes!
