Baby Cuddles and the thin tail

I recently bought a bait lot on ebay and it contained a Baby Cuddles with a very thin tail. I had no idea why, until I opened her up. The tail was inside her, all fizzy and tangled up, it was one big furball.

A lot of anti frizz lotion later, and Baby Cuddles has her tail back! Anyone else experienced this? Maybe it even is a common issue, I don't know yet. It was a first for me!

I've had to work my way through various synthetic wigs that were a tangled frizzy mess, so I thought this pony tail cannot be worse. And it wasn't! It actually took me only about an hour and was kind of a zen experience, haha

Great job!!! I once bought a princess sparkle without a tail in a bait lot to only find out she rattled when I got her. I opened her up and same thing inside!

Not long, and Baby Cuddle's tail would have ended up completely inside as well I guess! I'd be curious to find out how this happens.

I noticed that there was only one of these metal rings (is that the washer?) on only one side of the tail. No idea if there should be two of them, but I've so far only redone the tail on one of my grown up ponies and that one had two of these rings, so my assumption is that it might have something to do with that. But I like the idea of a curious child better!

A tail comb, lots of anti frizz lotion, and the final touch is a hair straightener. I have one with adjustable heat settings. I have gone as far up as 120 °C (100 °C with tinsel) without doing any damage to pony hair. Works much better for me than boiling water!

That's so odd... wonder how her tail got like that. Maybe it was just made that way by accident! Either way, great job fixing her. I can't believe how nice she looks!
