This may sound weird but I wonder if declaring them is part of the issue.

While we're still in the EU (heh), we don't need to fill in a custom form on a package going to another EU country.  So I wonder if the fact there was a declaration on it has meant it's gone into the check line rather than the EU line...?

Oh, heck, that's a REALLY good point! I declared just out of habit since I do so much international post, I'll pass that along to the receiver that that might be the issue

That's definitely something to consider- it could have ended up in customs because there was a label on it, which would cause a delay
The other thing is- and you probably know this already - while many things shipped between UK/Europe  arrive within 7 days - sometimes a lot faster, other times it can take up to 2-4 weeks. I've had that happen before with shipping to Spain, Greece, even Germany. I wouldn't worry too much about the parcel at this stage. :relaxed:

I'm guessing it's partway through being processed so at this stage they've had the money from your buyer, but it still hasn't gone through to you yet to complete the transaction via Paypal. I think it will be ok and you'll get the money any time now. :awake:  I'd hold on a bit and see if it's there by tomorrow. If not then contact Paypal to check with them- also let your buyer know what's happening if it comes to that

I'm so sorry to read about this :(  Unfortunately Paypal can't do anything because she paid with F+F (and basically what she did was against their rules as it's a transaction to a random seller trying to avoid their fees, so they would possibly call her out/refuse to help on that as well) , and if she didn't use a card , just her PP balance then .. unfortunately there isn't much she can do to recover her money.
Hopefully you let her know about contacting the police and whoever the facebook group admins are though.

I chose MO Sky Rocket , but either will do - that's my fave pose so win win  :lovey:   Store Twinkler is a childhood pony so I love her too. Also MO Star Hopper is pretty cute. I like all of this set though :)

:(  this update.. it kind of makes it even worse. I think in this sellers case it might be worth trying to get Paypal to re-consider the decision since she has all that info on the buyer

The reseller also posted about that Rapunzel multiple times in the "Vintage Toys & Action Figures" group on Facebook while he had her listed as an auction on eBay as well (first week of April). Apparently the group admins kept removing his posts, then he would just post again. At one point he even posted several pics of himself kissing the pony & rubbing her on his face to "prove he had her in hand".  :X That group is mostly made up of guys who collect action figures, so he was getting an assortment of negative replies on his multiple posts. The way he kept posting over & over, and the language he used in posts & replies definitely didn't give any indication that he'd be a reliable person to send $800 - $1,000 to. :|

eww ewww eeeewwwwww!!!! Sooo glad I blocked him. so.glad. :X  :X   :X   :X

I hit the "Must ponder more deeply" option ..because I can't remember if I have her or not??!! :whoa: :lmao:   I normally remember who I've got in my collection but my G3 herd grew so big so fast at one point.. I know I definitely have some of these gradient ponies.. I think I have her.... but .. it's been a while since I checked and most of my G3 are taking time out from display ATM  ... I'm gonna have to check before it drives me crazy

You should be able to sell your G4 ponies either here or ebay  (or both) much more easily if they are not mane 6 :bigups:

:yikes: I would have thought a glitch but.. wow.. apparently not?!
You're fine to post the persons ebay ID on this thread - sounds like someone to be avoided!

I don't think I can add much to what's already been said  :relaxed:
It's pretty slow during the summer to sell stuff unless it's something really sought after/ HTF etc  ,  you can still get higher prices during holiday times/between Sept-Jan , and personally I haven't had as many issues with NPB . Like Lady Moondancer , if I'm not selling as a BIN (to be honest I usually do sell as BIN's these days ), then I'll list the item with the auction price starting at the lowest price I'd be willing to accept for it. That way I avoid making a loss , even if only one person bids ;)

Ugh what an absolute nightmare :yikes: :(  thanks for letting us know the details and the IDs of the dodgy person  :bigups: . I'm so sorry the original seller got her childhood pony ruined as well as having to deal with all of that

(I suppose it could be possible that the dodgy buyer/reseller didn't know how to remove the mark on the symbol and tried to get it off to resell for a higher price and/or to resell under the other ID hoping the original seller or any of the previous watchers wouldn't notice , but then messed up the symbol instead *sigh* ..... then again ... the pony was relisted with the original pics including the mark on the symbol , also the person tried to claim they'd been shipped a fakie by using pics of a completely (obviously) different pony  . So given those added facts I wouldn't trust the person not to have deliberately messed up that symbol :awake:  )

Not someone to be trusted and this is definitely not someone I'd ever want to deal with personally.  Adding both of those accounts to my blocked bidder/buyer list now too.

Trying to sell your ponies here first is a good idea . There are G4 collectors here so you might find buyers :)  you can always try ebay later if you need to/want to :awake:

Buy a mail scale if you don't have one already.  It is worth it.

Definitely this!!!  ( thanks LadyMoondancer :)  )  I knew I'd forgot something important  (  ) .
If you have your own mail scale - even a cheap digital kitchen scale will do (that's what I use and it's really accurate)   - then you can work out the postage costs yourself before listing by checking the weight etc of the parcel online first.  Then you won't have to make trips to the PO to check the weight /cost before listing and you won't have any nasty surprise higher shipping costs after a sale either  ;)  :relaxed:

No worries . If and when anything does happen to change things when it comes to the UK post/customs etc  then of course we'll make a post about it here. That's only fair. I'm just saying that for now nothing has changed with our postal system or customs fees in the UK.   If it does change then we'll definitely inform people  :awake:
