G3.5 help

OK, I got the head off, tail out.  How do I get the washer out?  Skinnier forceps?  While I'm at it, how am I getting a new tail in?  Bigger hole maybe?  HALP!!!!!!

Did you removed the neck plug?  If so, cut the tail off very short and you might be able to just knock it out.

Nope, had hubby yank the head off.  Plug is still intact.

To get a new tail in, you might consider carefully cutting the neck plug out and gluing it back in when you are finished.  The tail washer that holds the tail in will not come out otherwise, though you could still get the tail out the pony would rattle.

WHich pony are you working on? I have pretty skinny forceps and they seem to work well.

3.5 Starsong into Pony.  And I picked the wrong sort of paint for her so strip and redo that anyway.  Do I cut horizontally, or pry the plug out?  For that matter, does it really need to go back in? Come to think of it, if Pony rattles, that could be logical.  (OK, bad thought!)  Dad's ultimate threat was he would "thump you so hard your eyeballs would rattle."  See where my brain is headed?
