Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: What game are you playing? Cont.
« on: July 31, 2018, 12:09:57 PM »
I just got my Nintendo Switch on the 11th and since then the majority of my gaming time has been going into Octopath Traveler. I've played for nearly 60 hours now and I have 4 / 8 characters chapter 2 quests completed. Anyone who likes old school turn based RPGs needs to check this out--it's swiftly heading for my #1 spot on my favorite games of all time list. My favorite game has been Final Fantasy IV--since I was 12!--so that's saying something.

I just got mine a few weeks ago and I made sure to buy a warranty with it. If anything happens, I take it back and I get a new one. I went through three red rings of death with the Xbox 360--I'm no stranger to consoles breaking. :argh:

I was 16 then, but I did not start the Harry Potter books til I was 18. We got the first two as Christmas gifts and then I got Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire as birthday presents when I was 19.

The Steam Sale is on and I just downloaded Darkest Dungeon for 70% off. May also get Skyrim since it's 50% off right now.

My friends and I watched the trailer and the general reaction was, "Looks like ThunderCats is about to get neutered."

Behind Blue Eyes by The Who, Toxic Love from Fern Gully, Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. It really depends on what aspects of a villain one is going for. It's also important to remember that even in fiction, most 'villains' don't think of themselves as villains. They usually have some self made justification for the things they do.

I've been playing a lot of RPGs. Got Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 for $3 each during the May 4th Star Wars sale on steam, and also bought both Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny.

In non-video gaming, my friends and I are also busy with a D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) campaign, which is really fun.

Mine is Princess Serena. I love the design of the princess ponies and her colors are my favorite.

I'm a huge fan of g1 tinsel. I'm not against g3 tinsel, but I do agree the quality is different. I'm also not as flawless at styling pony hair as some here likely are, though, so that could be part of why I am more laid back. I also tend to like shimmery things, so that likely has a role as well.

It's not a video game, but Jay and I have gotten into Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. I played 3.5 back in high school / university, and Jay got into Critical Role late last year, so we picked up some books and have been creating and going on our own adventures. Definitely something I enjoy.

Haven't watched NCIS in ages. It was my grandma's favorite show, though. Shame to hear about Abby. I hope that if the departure is true that it is amicable for her actress and the people who run the show and that she finds positive future success. It can be hard for fans when a favorite character is no longer there, and with something as long running as NCIS it can be difficult to separate the actress from the character and think about what might be going on with logical perspective. I will agree the show would not be as good without her--Abby was always my favorite.
