Hi! I'm Dream Drifter, and I'm a 19-year-old girl from Arizona. It's so hot this time of year! I can't go out, but at least that gives me more time to spend on the internet
I graduated from hign school in May 2023, and I've been trying to figure things out ever since. I definitely want to be an author, but I'm also interested in working as a flight attendant or helping kids in some way. Maybe I could even do some editing. I've been volunteering at an animal shelter, but I keep messing up, and it makes me anxious, so I don't do it that much anymore.
I currently live with my parents, and I'm so happy that they support me and my interests. In fact, my mom helped me order ponies as a kid (more on that later)!
To be honest, I only got back into MLP recently. I was crazy about it as a preschooler and elementary schooler. Though I was mad at G4 for replacing my beloved G3 when it first came out, I eventually decided to watch FiM and immediately loved it. I was crazy about ponies. I had tons, and I would use my imagination to make them go on exciting adventures. I would write little fanfics (on paper, not for the internet) about the ponies, and when I was ten or so, I even ordered ponies on eBay! However, I gradually became embarrassed about liking MLP, and I also felt a sort of shift after season three of FiM that I wasn't sure I liked. I remember watching the newest episode of season six (I think it was Gauntlet of Fire), pausing it, and then never coming back to it. I ignored everything related to MLP for the next eight years or so, and only recently have I been able to look at my pony past without cringing. However, cringe culture is allegedly dead, so here I am, ready to embrace my old love.
Though I still have a lot of G4 ponies, in terms of toys, I was always more interested in G3. Through eBay, I've managed to collect some neat ones. My favorite ones from eBay are Twinkle Hope, Blank Pony, and Dream Drifter, who gave me the idea for my forum username.
I love to write, so you'll probably see me talk about story ideas a lot. I'm actually making a little fan G6 thing; it's mostly been worldbuilding so far, but I've got a tumblr sideblog going, and I hope to make it into a fic one day. I also recently had an idea for a FiM fic, and weirdly enough, it came to me in a dream. Guess they don't call me Dream Drifter for nothing
