I finally got My Little Pony's predecessor, My Pretty Pony from 1981 on E-Bay! I'm so happy! And I got it in a good deal too!

Here's another pic of her with the other generation(I don't have Gen 2 or Gen 3.5 toys) ponies.

And lastly, it got me inspired to make a funny photo comic with Gen 4 ponies(I don't have Fluttershy)

By the way, I want to clean her mane and tail since it's really frizzy and dry. How should I wash it without damaging it?

Congrats....she is a bit of monster in size isnt she but cute in her own way!!!

I love how you have the g4s greeting her. :) So cute, they look like little fairies in comparison.

I just got one, too! And mine also has a case of the dry frizzies. I recently posted about it--this may help:

Holy shoot she's huge!
I've seen one of these opened. Like they have moving parts?

I love mine! I think I got mine for about $10. I did have to take it apart to get the tail mechanism to work, but it was worth the effort.

Thanks! I got the idea after taking a pic of pony sizes so I thought, 'hey, wouldn't it be cool if the FIM cast meets their ancestor?' and the idea was born! XD

so cool! I had no idea the pretty ponies was so HUGE!

She's lovely! Congratulations on a great find.
Do most people, then, use hair conditioner instead of liquid fabric softener for pony care ? I remember being told that doll hair needed fabric softener instead of conditioner because conditioner wasn't made to work on synthetics. (and it does work well, I've detangled some dollies who had some serious rat nests)
