Looking close, even Operetta and Frankie do.
I love all of their dresses though. And I'm partial to the pigtails on Ghoulia.

I think they're fake, for the same reason the source  suspects so- the makeup is the same as on the basic dolls.


Love the derby Frankie... which is weird, because she seems the least suited for this kind of line

Oh my gosh, her entire photostream is AMAZING!! She has like 20 custom MH dolls and they're all gorgeous and unique O.O

I don't know if it's a bit of a stretch, but I typed in "green hair" "roller derby" into Google and apparently there was a legendary skater by the name of Ann Calvello who was nicknamed "The Demon of The Derby" and was known for her punk style, such as dying her hair funky colors (which started with green) and being covered in tattoos at a time when it was considered to be quite outlandish behavior, especially from a woman (1950's onward). Perhaps a possible tribute?

I agree that those DOTD girls look fake.  they seem... ordinary.

the operetta custom is to die for!  I love the hair/makeup... her shoes are stardoll.  I have that exact same pair.


the more I see clawdeen/howleen, the more I want them.  moreso clawdeen   I love her hair

Those DOTD Spectra and Abbey dolls are definite customs. I can't seem to find a link to the original artist, but I remember when they first began circulating around the internet a few months ago. The outfits are actually modified Barbie clothes.

That custom is gorgeous! I'm also in love with her Sally customs from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

YAY! I finally found operetta today! In holland,  just waiting for me on the shelf of a lical toyshop. They also had nefera and toralei and it was sooo hard to leave them there, but I made a promise to myself that I would not buy any toys this month, for I have four birthdays this month  I have to buy presents for. But, you won't believe this, it was actually my mother who told, aw what the heck, its only 25 euro, if you go out for sushi you spent it too and poop it out the next day. At least the doll will be here tomorrow. Haha. So I caved and she is mine and I love her even more than I thought I would. Her details are breathtaking! Only thing I'm annoyed by is her TERRIBLE box hair. It's dry and fluffy   with a bad haircut and a bad case of split ends. Anybody having any problems with operettas hair? Lagoonas is pretty awful, but this hair is even worse. oh well, nm, I'm just so happy I have operetta!
