I came across an item on Ebay that I'm interested in buying (non-MLP related), but as so often the seller only ships to the US. (Or at least not to Sweden).

And so I'm wondering if there's any US resident here that would be willing to buy the item for me, have it sent to you and then send it along to me in Sweden once you've received it?
I will obviously pay for all costs + an extra fee for your help.

Please send me a PM if you're willing to help out, thanks!

My husband worked some magic on my main browser - Firefox - and it now works there :) (Yay!)

I checked the other browsers, though, and the pages I've had issues with still come up blank there =/

Someone on Twitter also reported it and another one came with a solution that worked for him/her. Just sharing, maybe it works for you as well.

"Hi just chiming in hopefully to offer help tips. I just had similar issues with some of the database pages not loading. (Using Chrome on Windows 10.) I found that clearing the browser's cached images and files, and then reloading the page, fixed it."

Thank you for the tip! Like I said, I'm not very tech-savy at all, so I'll have to ask my husband when he gets home to help me try this. Hopefully it helps :) I'll keep you posted.

I haven't bought any 35th anniversary ponies, nor do I intend to because well... I'm simply not interested in doing exactly what you said. Buying the same ponies all over again.

The originals from the 80's and 90's are the ones I'm interested in. Partially because of the nostalgia attached to them. Newly produced ones just doesn't have that for me.

If Basic Fun start producing the prototype G1's (as has been discussed in another thread) of for example NBBE Baby Shady and unicorn Baby Truly then that's a whole other story and I would be throwing my money at them. (Someone suggested in that thread to write Basic Fun and make this suggestion to them, so I'm now working on a letter to them :) ).

But for as along as they just keep re-releasing ponies then I'm going to pass.

So far I've tried the browsers Firefox, Pale Moon and Internet Explorer on my computer and it hasn't worked on either. I've also tried on my husbands computer which is brand new (I thought my ancient one might be causing the problem) but no luck. I tried on our iPad with both our regular wifi and our mobile internet which is from another provider. But again - no luck.

I have an old flip-phone from 10 years ago so nothing is going to work on that :P But I could try my husbands iPhone I guess.

And yeah, I've tried accessing the site in every possible way I can think of but the end result is all the same :(
It should be noted that most stuff on MLP Merchs site works just fine for me. I can log on the page and click links to almost all other things with no problem. The pages that I can't access, that just turns up white no matter what, are the G4 Brushables as well as some of the other G4 links and also the Checklist. That's why I found it so strange :S

This page?
https://data.mlpmerch.com/brushables/all/

Works for me...

Yup, that's the one. When clicking it it just comes up like a white page for me on all my devices :S

it may just be having troubles loading? sometimes it doesn't load for me (it isn't right now, for example) but usually it does work...

So it might not just be me then? That's a relief I guess because I wouldn't even know where to begin to sort it out. I'm just that tech-savy ;)

I do feel MLP Merch is hands down the best site for G4 info at the time being. That is... when it's working for me :P And I guess maybe the only one, too, that is keeping up these days?

Pony Corral / G4 guides?

Having been gone from MLP collecting for a few years has left me a bit 'behind' and I thought I would brush up on the last few years releases of G4's to see what I missed and to continue on my G4 checklists. (I've been making my own by going through websites and cross-referencing the releases year by year.)

But as I headed over to MLP Merch, which used to be my number 1 stop for info on G4 releases, and clicked G4 and Brushables all I got was a white page. I've tried for a few days now and it doesn't seem to work. Not on my laptop and not on my Ipad. Other pages works fine on MLP Merch but for some reason not that one.
So question number 1 is: Is it just me or is there something wonky with the site?

Since I couldn't get MLP Merch to work I headed over to the other sites that I used to visit for info on G4's.

I checked the Arenas 'Out Now and Coming Soon' Wix site but that doesn't seem to have been updated since 2015? Or am I missing something?
I checked Strawberry Reefs site, but that definitely hasn't been updated since 2015.
I checked MyLittleWiki but nothing has been added there for 2017 or 2018 (the two years I'm lost on and was going to look up info on, of course :P)

When all attempts to find a site with info on the last few years G4 releases had failed I made a Google search. But nothing. Not that I didn't already knew of and which isn't up to date anyway.

So question number 2: Does anyone know a site with info on the last few years releases of G4's? It would be much appreciated!

I do mostly use the Wiki these days when quickly checking things.

However, when in-depth info or comparing info is needed to make sure things are right I always check with the other websites such as yours, Taffeta, the Dream Valley when that was still around, Strawberry Reefs site, the Rainbow Forest before that went down, Silverfalls Ponytopia back in the days for G3's, the Arenas Nirvana gallery and so on...

Unfortunately, many of those personal sites with info has gone down / become long forgotten by the owners :( Which is a shame because, like I said, I much prefer that 'personal feel' that those sites always have had :) Not to mention, all those different sites combined gave really good, complete info in the end after reading through them all in search for answers.
The only thing that always has been missing it seems is a personal site for Nirvanas (or perhaps I have just missed it?)

I completely understand why the owners of those sites that went down or have been forgotten can't / didn't want to keep up with them though. It must have been a monumental task. One I most certainly couldn't have kept up with. So you and all those who have worked on such sites over the years to provide the community with as accurate info as possible definitely have my respect.

DV was my go to source for info at the time! I've got the entire website printed out and in a binder still to this day. The original version of it. Every. Single. Page.  ^_^   So many ink cartridges died that day.

I did the same, and still have it too! The early pamphlet version. It looked so colorful and shiny. I just had to print it all out so I could sit and drool over the pictures without having to dial up to the internet, wait minutes for a page to load, cause the phone to not work for hours on end and cost a tremendous amount of money... Who said everything was better before? :lookround:

Can't say my mother was particularly happy about me using so many ink cartridges, but I think the alternative would have made her even unhappier ;)

For me, though, it was the tons of US ponies that I never knew existed that blew my mind and that I drooled over on that site :dropjaw:

When it came to the UK ponies I actually always referred to Taffetas page :) I thought that was, hands down, the best guide at the time for those.

I can't remember the name anymore (I've been racking my brain for a while now), but there was a German collector I believe (possibly Dutch) also back then which had quite an informative page about those ponies. I remember seeing Dutch Baby Flower on it especially and how I became just as mesmerized about those ponies as I was about the US ones :P

Today, for me personally, the MyLittleWiki has become the go-to place for pony info even though it lacks that personal feel to it. It is very informative though!

Happy Anniversary, Desert Rose :)

Not mine. Ringlets ;)

Mine is... 3 years away. That can't possibly be right... :ack: Time goes way too fast :yikes:

It seems like the sellers trip to the Swiss post office did indeed pay off, and that the Swiss post finally managed to get the Swedish post to get their act together.

Because today, after three long months, Baby Gusty finally arrived! :newpony:

The Swedish post still had the gall to charge me $80 in customs and handling fees to collect her, and they will be hearing from me about that :pout: But that's another story.
The important thing is that she finally arrived safe and sound.

Should the Swedish post reimburse us for the hassle (as they have mentioned they would) then I offered the seller to split that money seeing as we both suffered from this. Hopefully that would be a nice ending to this nightmare that the Swedish post caused for both of us.

Either way the moral of this story is: If you're sending really valuable items to Sweden, do not use the regular post >_<

Happy Areanaversary!

I hope the next 10 years will bring you just as much fun, friends and ponies as the past 10 have :)

I'm hoping that after all this your seller is going to keep her word and work with you to sort it out  :awake: . Have you heard anything since last time you posted? :what:

The seller and I have had some communication and the last I heard was this Friday where she e-mailed me saying she had been at her postoffice to turn in a complaint and have them try to locate the package. She sent pictures of the document they gave her and told me that it may take 2-3 weeks for this to yield a result in one way or another. (Either they manage to get the Swedish post to get their act together or they will admit that it is gone and give her the $150 reimbursement.) So right now all we can do with that is to wait.

I also got a reply to my message from Paypal and they told me that they would look in to why the case was ended the way it was considering their reason given for deciding in the sellers favor was that the package was delivered when it is in fact not. Something that can be seen on both the Swiss and Swedish posts sites. The person I messaged with agreed to that this sounded strange and would get back to me when they had looked in to this. (Not that it is needed anymore for them to do anything IF the seller works with me, but better to be safe than sorry and have Paypal standing at ready.)

My nagging-spree didn't end there :P (I can be really anoying when I want to be.... and when I don't want to be as well :lookround: ) I kept contacting the Swedish post where I finally got a hold of a guy who said something completely different than all the others I've spoken to >_< He said that a recipient could turn in a complaint and demand Postnord to refund them instead of the seller if there were special circumstances - such as that the seller wasn't co-operative. I would then have to fill out a form, add in it that the seller wasn't working with me, and they would have a 'specialist' look in to the case. There are still no gurantees with this method, he said, but it was something I could try if necessary. So there seems to be yet another potential solution if this seller would go back on her word.

After our latest conversations, though, I am getting the impression that she now is more willing to co-operate. Hopefully that continues :)

All I really want is for poor Baby Gusty to turn up safe and sound, though, but if the Swedish post has managed to screw up AGAIN then I at least want them to pay for it. For losing such a rare and beautiful pony :enraged:
