Brazil Baby Factory Prototype?
« on: September 10, 2012, 04:42:27 AM »
Search for BRAZIL MY LITTLE PONY BABY FACTORY PROTOTYPE on ebay... what do you all think about this? I've never seen anything like this pony before and the seller mentions having talked to collectors about her but I've never heard anything either....  :what:

I saw the auction tonight as well and was wondering the same.
Never heard before about that baby.. but it's cute and interesting!!

Unfort. I still have to pay for 2 other Grails...so I can't snap her at the moment.

Well she's not a Baby Bowtie, and her pose is a mash-up of Baby Tiddlywinks' body and Baby Lofty's head. I'm not 100% convinced with her either, since her foot markings are a little 'off' to me. :awake: She is pretty though.

I think I'd have to see her in the flesh to make a better judegement.

If the asking price wasn't so high, I'd probably give it a punt. But she seems really unnatural. Cute, though!

I wish I had a Brazil baby to compare her with lol. She sure is interesting and I wish I had funds to have a pop at getting her. I hope the winning bidder is someone here so we can get some more info :D I don't know what to make of her at all but she sure is cute! What do we think of that symbol, if anything? Do you think it's legit or been painted on by a non factory person?

Hold your horses :P That's not a prototype!
That pony was given inside an easter egg last year, it's made by the same factory that made the original ponies, but they changed the mold a little bit and that thing came out, I'll see if I can find a better pic of it...

My Brazilian Baby Tiddlywinks has very different hoof markings than the so-called prototype. On the outside edge of the bottom of her front right foot she has a serial number, and on the inside if the concave part she has '(C) 1984 Hasbro'. On her front left foot, the entire concave section has been made flat (like other typical Brazilians), and it reads 'ESTRELA S.A.    IND. BRASILEIRA   MADE IN BRAZIL'. I noticed the prototype didn't even have 'hasbro' anywhere on its feet.

Thank you very much for the information, Mapago!! :cheer: A recent pony/fakie/sort of thing hadn't even crossed my mind as a possibility! I was sitting there with my head tilted thinking, 'Something about this doesn't seem quite right,' and now we know why ;)

Glad to have someone confirm this to us. Thanks for clearing this up! Wonder if anyone should contact the seller to let them know. I doubt they'd lower the price though! Cute baby nontheless so I hope I can find one like her one day for much cheaper!
