Title: "Villain" costume ideas for a bday party?
Post by: CustomsRfun on January 09, 2017, 08:43:31 AM
Hey guys :)

My boyfriend and I have a party to attend on the 21 january and the theme is "Villains".

If i immediately had an idea for my man's costume (Azazel from Xmen), i draw a complete blank on whom to dress as, myself.

Being quite a bit on the chubby side, i don't want anything sexy or revealing, and the other constraint i have is that i'm out of a job right now, so i cannot spend a lot of money on the costume...

Here is what i look like...

If you have a black dress you can always do Ursula, she's one of my favorite villians.

you could go as Malefecent, it could be simple, the most iconic part is the horns.

Bellatrix Lestrange could work.  She just has a black dress and you can make your own wand.  Not sure if you'd want to bother with a black wig, though.

Delores Umbridge basically just needs a pink outfit.

Madame Mim from The Sword in the Stone might work.

Madame Medusa from The Rescuers has short red hair and wears a red dress.

The Queen of Hearts would be easy to do.  Just cover a dress in paper hearts and wear a crown.

Mama Fratelli from Goonies might be a fun one to do.

You could be Vicky from the Fairly Odd Parents.  Just need a green shirt and black pants.

Or you could go a bit more real and be Lizzie Borden.  Just carry around a plastic axe.

I agree, the "deface" thing sounds like you've been dealing with people who shout at  new/low income cosplayers who 'don't do it right' and other nasty people.
I can actually picture you in an Ursula themed dress or the cosplay.

But there are various other villians I can also see you going as Poison Ivy

Two things:
1.how are you so pretty?!

2.what if you wore a black dress and went as Ursula?
Or an evil bat man!
Oh!or the queen of hearts! Just slap a few little paper hearts, find a little tiara and practice the "off with her head!" Voice.

I'm liking everyone's Ursula idea. You could probably find some cheap purple stockings somewhere and fill them up to make tentacles

The little mermaid was my favourite movie growing up so Ursula is calling out to me.  It should be simple--just a black dress and purple makeup.

Love the queen of hearts idea too--it would probably be a bit easier and valentines is around the corner so you have easy access to hearts :)

I second Queen of Red Hearts or Poison Ivy. They're quite intimidating and very cool villainesses. You'd look great!

What about the spray on hair color? Or I know one kid who got pretty close to white using hair gel/spray and baby powder.

But you have the same hair style so you don't need a wig.  Id look up cheap alternatives even if you cant get a spray on hair colour. Chalk or baby powder come to mind though youll have to actually poke to see <3
