A well timed hair whip could save your life. ;)

QFT!

While I am not a fan of the fact that G4's have been so static in their line (haha remember when we all got excited that they gave us one alternate 'raised hoof' pose?), I am not one that would prefer jointed figures over just having more interesting but unmoving poses. One of my favorite things about the G3 line is all the interesting variety of poses and expressions the ponies got to have, even though some of them looked pretty silly, and I wish they had continued that in the G4 line.

Jointed ponies have always looked awkward to me, since it's not easy to hide those big seams. I remember some people weren't fond of the G1 Ballerina ponies for that reason, too.
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!

FYI the Hasbro reps at the Fair said the NM and Celestia don't actually move, even though they *look* jointed. it's just to make them LOOK more articulated
*sigh*
I hope that's not the case for all of these...some really  look like they should move...

I've watched a few review videos, the only parts of Celestia and NM that move are their wings... a leg or two as well would have been nice.

I'm just getting annoyed at Amazon stocking them, they're all over the place then gone the next second!

Huh, I wish they hadn't done that then.  If it's meant to be a static pose I'd prefer they'd hidden the seams/joins a bit more.  :/

Apparently they're only articulated at the wings, and Discord can move the hand with his umbrella.

Supposedly it's just the "Fan Series" that are mostly static.

The smaller toys (and large Spike) are definitely poseable. :)  Just NMM, Celestia, and Discord are more like collector statues.

So I got my Nightmare Moon in the mail today, and she has cutie marks on both sides?? The heck, why did that happen? She displays well from both sides so maybe that's why she has two, but that hasn't stopped hasbro in the past from doing only one cutie mark.  :pout:

That's just sick.  Spinoff for the peripheral demographics get both cutie marks, but the main line still only has one?  Do you even respect this brand anymore, Hasbro?

I don't see it as a bad thing. Maybe it's a sign Hasbro is starting to repent their cheapo, lazy ways?

(Though I won't hold my breath)

It's weird, the Celestia only has one cutie mark and all the promo images of the other GoH toys have one cutie mark too... (and I'm not peeved that NMM has two cutie marks, I'm peeved that the others don't!)

Do you have Celestia in hand or are you going off the pictures (about her cutie mark)?

Thanks for this news, that means I'm definitely going to pick up NMM!
