Title: Star Sign, a Valentine's Day Galaxy Pony!

Kind of a mouthful, I know! :P

Happy Valentine's Day!

Say hi to Star Sign! She is my newest custom, made from a very baity Bowtie covered in mildew/mold and age spots, eek! I knew she would be perfect for this kind of paint job, because the spread-out design could cover up all of her dots! Her hair is all from Dollyhair, in the colors Ultraviolet, Brilliant Pussycat, Mermaid and Hot Lips! Her eyes are partly repainted, I really liked the dark purple she had so I overpainted them with a pale pink, and added some highlights!

I took tons of pictures of her, but I'll put most of them in a spoiler to spare everyone's bandwidth! Here's some highlights:

Many thanks to my good friends for their help! Marbletoast came up with the name, and Oak23 gave me hair suggestions!

:shocked: She is soooo stunning... Wow! Her hair is just so beautiful with the curls and the colors and the length, and the paint job is awesome! She has the perfect pose too :heart: You did such a great job!

She is just stunning! I really love how you did the Galaxy print, really a clever way to cover the spots and marks. Her mane colors are perfect too  :)

Beautiful! I love the spattered paint and her hairblend is gorgeous, the darker colours in the blend give some great depth to the overall colour scheme.

@Chaosette, I hadn't planned on selling her! I'm still working on the whole 'being able to emotionally let go of my art for sale', but I appreciate the question all the same! :heart:

I thought I'd share a quick 'before' picture, since it's always kind of mind-blowing to see a custom when it's not quite done yet! You can see some of the age spots/mildew dots poor Bowtie struggled with, which shows just how much I had to cover up with her paint! It's always hard for me to decide when a G1 is 'too far gone' to be repaired, and since Bowtie was basically riddled with mildew and dots, it made the decision a little easier!

I covered all of her dots up with white paint, so I'd have a clear mental image of where the paint needed to go, and uh...

I love your WIP pics. =D This is so nice seeing this poor Bowtie coming back to life. :hope:

Beautiful work! And a clever way to hide the mold spots. I hope it won't affect the rest of her after a while.
