Sure hope I spelled that right. Why didn't Hasbro flock the Bushwoolie's?  Honestly they would have been a lot more like the cartoon version this way. I realize that would have made them not last as well, but they have missing paint issues..so flocking wouldn't be any different.  I was just wondering why the fuzzy/harry looking little guys were not a  fuzzy toy.

G1 accessories were varied and I ADORE them but they did sometimes not have a lot of depth of thought put in and were simply recolours of one another!

The Bushwoolie toys always disappointed me. I love them, but I wish they made ones that looked specifically like the individual ones in the show rather than just random colors with unnecessary crowns. Flocking or plush ones would have been cool too! I suspect, though, that they just weren't popular enough for special treatment.

When I heard there were toys of the Bushwoolies, I got the mistaken impression that they began as some kind of fuzzy-ball toy that Hasbro placed into the My Little Pony cartoon for some cross-promotion.  I was shocked to learn that they were only molded plastic, and only came with the American Princess Ponies.  So, until the second season of the TV show, the Bushwoolies were just some diversion a cartoon writer came up with?

There was an episode from the series where the Bushwoolies were even shedding. So they left colorful hair behind them wherever they walked, hehe! I really like the Bushwoolies. Not so much the toys, but I thought they were adorable charcters I like in Escape from Katrina they told Rip "We're tired of being slaves. We're going to escape!" I think they should keep that from their captors, even if Rip was mostly on their side - they're so innocent and cute!

I, too, wonder why thy didn't release plush or at least flocked Bushwoolies.  The characters are so cute - I love the one in the movie who agrees with Shady when she says she failed.  . And they could've made larger plunge ones like the softie ponies.

If the plastic ones were more common, I'd give one locking to see how it looks. . .

Rainbowstars makes awesome looking Bushwoolies. I want to commission her for an army of them.

Is it possible the Bushwoolies were made as Hasbro's "sprite" like character as the Rainbow Brite, "Sprite" was very popular with kids?  Rainbow Brite came out in the same year as MLP.  I just wonder as they look very similar in a way.

Those are super cute!!!

I know someone mentioned their crowns were unnecessary....In, Quest of the Princess Ponies, they were wearing their crowns but it was at the end...the one with the Lava demon that surfs on his lava waves.  Its the only show I have seen the Bushwoolies in so far so, I am not sure if they wear their crowns in all of the shows.
