Welcome everyone! Your goals sound super great and resting can be just as good as working out so no need to push yourself. This should be fun and enjoyable. If it is not...you wont want to do it anymore:)

You Goal/s: I quit my job because of an injury but also in order to persue my art (novelist and painter). I need to be productive as an artist and a housewife.
Whats Your Plan:
My plan is to either write or paint every day. Then, in order to be a "good" housewife (or house manager as my husband likes to call it) I need to keep the house clean and maybe cook something every now and then *groan*.
How will you get your 2 points in a day: I will get one point for writing or painting at least 45 minutes a day.  I will get one point for cleaning something or organizing something or cooking dinner.

Morning Glory I think this is an awesome idea and I thank you for hosting!
*Cough* Just offering an idea... Your first post says "Start tracking points the day you sign up" while further questions and clarification is that participants begin counting points on July 1st. I was confused as well. Just in the event that other people don't read the entire thread and start counting points too soon.

Screen Name: Rad

Your Goal/s:
1) Lose at least 10 pounds, maybe even 20. I don't look like I need it and I thank people that say it, but I weigh 165+ most of the time I weigh myself... and I don't like seeing that number. >.< (Though at least it isn't 175 anymore!)

2) Eat less junk food and more healthy food. This will be a bit hard the first week as the 4th of July week my dad's side of the family gets together and we walk to the local icecream store once a day almost every day we're there. Also, I work in an old folks' home where the salad/dessert chef makes the most amazing desserts... But I already know it is good. I don't need to sample it every time... and certainly not two of something... or the largest piece....

3) Get the laundry done on time. I get distracted easi - ooh look, shiny! XD

What's Your Plan:
1) While I walk a lot for work, there is no reason that I can't at least walk around the block most mornings. I try to get up early... So walk around the block Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (a longer walk on Thursday, as that is typically my day off...). And if for whatever reason I don't walk around the block, use the treadmill at work for ten minutes. Or work out or play catch or something! [1 point each day M-Sat]

2) Eat fruit or vegetables instead of the desserts. If I just can't resist because they're just too awesome, then eat the leftovers, not a whole dessert. And stop at one cookie, not two. Or four. Or... yeah, bad. But I am not to skip the fruit and vegetable! [1 point each day M-Sat]

3) Use the alarm on my phone to remind me for the laundry. Get up when it goes off or only use a three-minute snooze no more than twice. Don't get too distracted, get home on time and put the laundry away. A few items not put away the first night is fine, but they must get put away the next morning before work. [2 points on Sunday as this will be my rest day from walking: 1 point for having it all done on time, 2nd point for getting home on time and putting it away]


Question:
If there are people that want it, could we form an under-group that meets every day, or every other day, or once/twice a week, or whatever, to keep each other and ourselves accountable? (Mod answer? ->) If that's fine, do we need to start a new thread or keep it in this one? (I think we'd keep it to one thread for an edition, not start a new one each time we meet.)

Thanks for pointing out the confusion. I will fix that first post. I thank you for all those details and comments you all have made. I can not improve this event if I no feed back:) So I truly thank you for being polite and making these comments:)

I would like all of it to stay in this forum. This has kept me on track in my goals better then anything else. As the person who has started this, I plan to be on everyday:) I do loose Sunday and Sat because I will loose internet at home. At work I will be able to pop on a few times. I would hope that people meet here everyday to not only comment on how well or not so well they have reached their goals, but other aspects. Even going off topic is perfectly fine.

Since I created none of them, plus some of them were even from a purchased e-book, I'd better not. :lookround: I just wanted them on a printed page instead of using the iPad. :) But it's taking awhile to copy, paste, format, etc.

You Goal/s: I am a fitness instructor. I am already very fit. However, I need to make myself PRACTICE every single day. My classes can be so much more awesome if I really do practice every day. I also need to consistently eat a veggie of some kind with each meal. I feel like such a hypocrite telling others to do it when I don't do it myself. Two goals!
Whats Your Plan:
Practice at 1pm each day. Make it a habit! Prepare veggies in advance so I don't feel the need to grab other things.
How will you get your 2 points in a day: Point 1: Practice MINIMUM three tracks of BodyCombat daily. Point 2: Eat a veggie with 3 meals a day (I eat 5 meals a day due to the extreme amount of exercise, heh).

Assuming you'd be working for a gym or studio, perhaps contact them and ask what styles they support. If you live in an area without a gym or studio, you'd be free lance, right? In that case study what you love. That will come out in your instruction. If you are passionate about what you do, your students will be as well. I don't do yoga personally. I'm trained through Les Mills and their BodyFlow program may be something that would interest you. :)
