When do you put your Christmas tree up?

I have a brand new tree I am waiting to put up but everyone says it is too soon!

The day after Thanksgiving or the first snowfall before then!

We've never done earlier than day after thanksgiving. Sometimes later though.

It varies, but I think we usually put it up late November -- never any later than the first of December, though

We don't have a set date. When I was little, we put it up during the first week in December. Then it was the day after Thanksgiving. Now we put it up in the second week in November. In fact, ours will be up within the next few days. It takes a lot of time to decorate and it seems like a waste to do all that work and only enjoy it for a couple of weeks. Since we always take our tree down on January 1, I like being able to enjoy it for about six weeks.

Well last year I'd put it up on December 24th lol

We have always been putting it up on december 22nd - 23rd +/- ... I always think its kind of a waste since it only stands there for so little time. Maybe we will be putting it up a little sooner this year.

During my childhood we liked put it up the day after Thanksgiving.

Now we're lucky if we even get one up.

I spend the holidays with my family and we usually put the tree up and decorate it on Dec 22 or 23. We have a real tree so it can't be brought in much earlier than that. The tree and other decorations usually stay up until Jan 13 which is considered the official end of the Christmastime here.

Since the holiday mood usually hits me much earlier than that, I have some decorations here that I put up at the end of November or beginning of December so I get to enjoy them for a couple of weeks before I leave for my hometown. I have a small white tree with fairy lights, some window decorations etc. I'm slowly adding to my small collection. This year the mood hit me exceptionally early, possibly because of all the swaps here. I've already been listening to my favourite Christmas music, though I'll keep resisting the urge to put up the decorations before the end of the month. Lights shall go up as soon as I get round to it though, I associate them with winter rather than Xmas and they cheer me up when it's dark. They get to stay up until the snow's gone and the days are getting longer, until March at least.

We now put our tree up on dec 9th as our daughters birthday is on the 8th. I like to celebrate that before we get all christmasy:)

Usually early December. Our city's annual Santa Claus parade is basically my kick-off to the season, that's when I'll start listening to Christmas music and I wear my Santa hat every day until Christmas.

Usually the first week or so of December. We have done it Christmas eve before though xD We usually leave it up until the beginning of February or until my dad complains about it xD

I honestly don't think there's a "too soon", unless you're talking about putting it up in like... August.  It's all relative, you know?    As someone who absolutely loves Christmas, I put my tree up sometime in November whenever I feel like it.  If you feel like putting up your tree now, then do it!

The first Saturday in December is when we put ours up. That's the family tradition.

With my family we always do a real tree, so we can't put it up too soon. Usually about 2 weeks before Christmas.
