Is there any pet food you guys recommend, since there seem to be so many who use gross byproduct?

Canidae/Felidae, Natural Balance, Taste of the Wild, Wellness, Innova, Orijen

Just want to second Wellness :) My cats and dog eat that exclusively. Both dry and canned (for the kitties).

Do you know what stores carry it? Target only seemed to have Purina and Iams. Its so gross, I look at the food labels and the first ingredient on every one is corn meal or chicken by-product ><

Southern Agriculture carries it here, as well as Innova (I feed their EVO weight management to my cats), Canidae/Felidae, and Taste of the Wild.  Can't say I've noticed Orijen there, but I stopped buying from them about a year ago when my husband realized we could buy 2 bags of EVO cheaper online, including shipping, than at the store.

And now my cats LOVE the mailman.

I'm going to second Taste of the Wild and add Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers' Soul. Both are great foods and pretty inexpensive to boot.

Dunno if it's been mentioned or not but Blue Buffalo is another great do food with quality products. My little Dixie didn't care for it, though. :(  I am slowly introducing her to Innova and she seems to like it.

I'm incredibly happy to see people buying better food for their companion animals.  :)  My guy eats Nature's Balance Vegetarian formula (he can't eat meat due to allergies.)

I'm stuck with my Samsung phone but I will never buy one again. I didn't have Windows and they won't release phone updates that are compatible on a Mac. I finally bought a Windows laptop for situations like this and PC games. It just so happened that it was the *one* version that can't run Samsung Droid updates. My phone also completely melted down within a year of me buying it. Fortunately the replacement was covered by the warranty with just two weeks to spare. I've had the replacement for 2 months and it randomly turns itself off.

BP. After the oil spill and the workers that were killed. Not to mention how bad our ocean became polluted. (Granted yes, I know it wasn't the ONLY oil spill that happened, but it was one that affected ME personally)

I've also recently decided never to go to JC Penny's because of the commercial they have running right now that consists of nothing but people screaming. I don't like to go to department stores anyway though so *shrug*

I've made it a longtime practice to avoid products/places that have obnoxious commercials. =p This goes back to when I was a kid.

I thought I was the only one who did that! Oh my gosh, seriously! I have found a brother in arms.

Does it seem to you that recently, commercials have gotten more and more annoying and random? Most of the time, the content of the commercial has nothing to do with what they are selling. And I have noticed that there are just commercials with people screaming. It is so irritating. Plus, if you watch a couple shows back-to-back on the same channel, the screaming commercials pop up like 10 times. I swear to god.

I refuse to have anything to do with Geico. Those pig commercials...they KILL ME. LITERALLY.

I work at a restaurant that has 3 TVs on the entire time, so my 6 hour shift is consumed by commercials. I feel like the ads are being punched into my head.
And i'll be darned if I don't hear that pig at LEAST 6 times a day.

Petco in the US carries Wellness.

Tractor Supply Co carries 4Health, Diamond, and Taste of the Wild (all made by Diamond).

I get my Acana from a local store, costs me as much as Wellness when I fed that, but it about $10 more than Taste of the Wild. I just prefer Acana & Wellness to Taste of the Wild because they have stable food recipes (e.g. the same amount of each ingredient goes in each time).

I can agree with you with annoying adverts. We have some real offenders here, not shops so much but things like
'We buy any car' they've sort of calmed the advert down though so the annoying song is only at the end

Kmart/Sears online. I may go to their stores but NO WAY I am trying to purchase something from their website again. I wanted to get a plush beagle stuffed animal for my friend's little boy who just lost their family dog and that was the only place I could find one so I put in the order and then what did I receive? A plush Newfoundland dog (and a more expensive plush at that)! In trying to figure out how to return it to get the correct one I called and learned that they have no guarantee that an item listed as In Stock on their website is actually available and they could not tell me if I would actually get a beagle if I placed an order again. WHAT?? So I decided to try one more time and ordered the beagle again without returning the other dog yet. I waited a week without receiving any type of shipping update or anything on the order status. I write to them to find out where my order is and then they tell me the order was canceled because the item is out of stock. I never got any type of message from them about this. And they spelled my name wrong my name wrong twice in their reply. Blah, I was done with them. I took the Newfoundland dog and put it up on eBay and got more money than my original purchase price was for the beagle.

Well, it's not a company, but it looks like I won't be visiting Atlantic City, and I'll be suggesting to my friends that they avoid it, too.  They're bringing back diving horses (where they make a horse dive 40 feet into a pool), and won't get a single penny from me until they cancel it.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think it is the city of Atlantic City that is doing it. It doesn't really make sense to not visit a city just because one company there is doing something unsavory especially since I don't think the city can do anything to stop it.

Edit: The company that was going to do it canceled anyways.

They did just cancel it, but I posted this before they did.  It was the company that runs the boardwalk area, and they were doing it with support from city officials, so I think it did make sense.  Especially since they were doing it to bring people into the city, since the boardwalk and casinos are the attractions there.

I'm just saying even if there was a boycott, the City couldn't legally do anything to stop them from doing it. Even if the City had said that they don't support it, they still can't stop them.

These are my big ones:
Another for Toshiba. Never buy their 'satellite' computers. Yeah, they update from their satellites and then crash and burn!

This. I bought their 'Satellite' laptop and it was dead like a WEEK after the warrenty gave up.

I also try to avoid Dairy Queen. I worked there...and teenagers don't handle spoiled milk well. *shivers*
