Funko Big Mac deconstructed
« on: February 06, 2015, 12:15:28 PM »
I haven't been able to find any other information about this so I thought I would post this as reference. I recently received a commission request to turn the Funko Big Mac toy into a Night Guard. It is possible to remove his halter thought it does require a strong dremel or table saw.

Interesting.  I've been considering trying to custom a mini Big Mac Funko so this might come in handy.  OOooohhh...is that a Granny Smith custom I see in the works????  Awesome!

Would love to see your Night Guard when you are done!

I was thinking of having a custom made from a Dr. Whooves base...

Awesome, thank you for showing this. I've been doing a ton of Funko customs lately, and I was wondering about him. I grabbed one to customize, but I don't have a project for him yet.

It looks like if you boil it, you might be able to loosen the head off, and pull the harness off after that. That way you should, theoretically anyway, be able to get the harness off in one piece and recycle it (say, for a Fashion Style Big Mac :D). In my experience, the Funkos come apart pretty easily with just a bit of elbow grease. The tails pull out like nothing, and a lot of times I can pull out the wings on :muffin: Ponies with my bare hands. But the quality seems to vary greatly so *shrug*

I would like to see how that works out, because I think that one might be one solid piece. Please post about it if you do it.
Nope it is an OC custom of a pony called "Atjour Service" and she is proving to be a behemoth of an undertaking.

Can't wait to see what you do with him, I have been a follower of yours on DA for quite a while. The boiling theory might be possible, please if you manage to do that please share.

If I ever get time to try it, I will.  The colors looked like Granny Smith but the other one sounds neat, too!  Post pictures when you get her done!

I totally will, though he is on the back burner now, since the client had to get a new car so payment is still pending. I will be posting the customs in the background once I finish them though.

I can't wait to finish him, though I need to find a good bat wing tutorial. Is there a good bat wing tutorial on here? I have seen plenty feathered wing ones.

For some reason, I didn't expect him to be semi-hollow.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing it. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
