The *wild card* would be that you end up with two partners ere go, with TWO cards to make instead of ONE. All those who agree to be a wild card will have their name put in a proverbial hat and then drawn. :3
2. Partners posted by end of day JUNE 13th.
3. PM your partner for their address.
4.You must mail to your partner on (or before) the 30 of June. This gives you about two and a half weeks to create ONE atc. You are always welcome to do more!
5. Check out your partner's post in this thread about what themes they may like- remember to keep everything in the realms of ponies!
6. All levels accepted! Please make sure to do your best work that you can.
7. Mail your completed card to your partner by JUNE 30th.
8. Post to the thread that you have mailed your card.
9. Post to the thread when you have received your card!
10. Have fun and enjoy it!
Rules:
•You must post to the thread when you mail a card and when you receive a card so we can be sure everyone is accounted for.
•You may post pictures of completed ATCs to this thread if you want but is not required. You do not have to wait till the person has received the card.
•This is a 1 on 1 trade so only leave feedback for your partner, not me, unless I am your partner!
•If you don't mail out on time then you will not be allowed to sign up again until you meet your obligations.
FAQ
•ATC means Artist Trading Card.
•ATC size- 2.5 x 3.5. I do suggest that if you use a thin paper to draw on, mount it on something harder to mail. PM me if you'd like suggestions.
•Please sign the back of the card. Its nice to look back and see who did it.
•It is great to mail them in a protective plastic sleeve. You can find them at hobby stores, Walmart, online, etc. Look wherever baseball cards are.
•There is no feedback minimum. You are welcome to join and give it a try.
•If it ends up uneven or if someone doesn't fulfill their duties, I will make sure everyone has something. As these keep going, I will keep on hand who you have traded with to try and make sure that everyone gets someone else each time, best I can!

hmm i was thinking of skipping this one but i cant stay away. =P
*What theme(s) you would want : hmm.... im not entirely sure... so ill spout out random stuff. i love snowleopards so maybe a baby pony cuddling or sleeping with a cub, i have a soft spot for baby moondancer, baby lofty, baby buttons... i read a LOT so maybe something to do with that... fireflies or glowing flowers at night... honestly if any of these are interesting go to town, or if you have a different idea thats fine too =P carnival idea sounds fun. maybe a stuffed snowleopard prize... bigger than the baby who has it haha =]
and im always open for more art of my 'ponysona' (my avatar atm) as i havent really done many sketches of her. =P

Salli, usually ATCs are excpected to be traditional so no worries there. ;) I think the digital option was added because many people prefer doing digital art nowadays, and digital media might be more common with ACEOs since prints and editions are allowed, whereas ATCs are supposed to be unique. (Of course you may do a series of cards that only have minor differences, like use the same lineart/picture but different colours etc. As long as they are not exact copies like prints.)

The digital art part was only thrown in since we had an artist once that couldn't get the traditional art to work out. Traditional really is the preferred method for an ATC, but if you do like an embellished digital and make it hand crafted to just that ONE piece, than that is usually okay.

My favorite Hasbro ponies are: Sundance (G1 and G2), G2 Sunsparkle, Italian Peachy. And I can't dislike a white bodied pony or a seapony!

If it helps, you can find a pack of artist trading cards at Walmart, Hobby Lobby and Michaels. seems cheapest at Michaels though. Find them in the crafts stores near the drawing supplies, while in Walmart they're by the trading cards. :D

Urg, finally got a good pose idea and sketched it. Started lining, and now I need a red marker. But I don't know where my markers are. Dx

I'm fighting with my medium. Watercolors just arn't behaving. Gonna have to redo it with colored pencils. O and I got my ATC blanks at Hobby Lobby on an end cap by the drawing stuffs. like 2.50 or something.

I made an art print with permission from my partner (I made digital art instead of traditional art). I had to play around with my new color printer to get my image to print correctly and still show all the coors/shading.
I finally got it to look right. So I'll be mailing Monday (tomorrow)!

Were we supposed to do one or two cards this time around? I thought HarvestmGirl was the wildcard with two partners. But folks seem to be talking about multiple cards....
Before partners were assigned, I actually did a sketch for every single person based on what they wrote as a way to get hyped for this trade. Outside of my single partner, I've actually colored two more of my sketches and plan on coloring all of them. Could I just post the digital images here, and mail out the one I have for my partner?

You only need to make one card for your partner but many times people find it so much fun they make 2 or 3 for the same person. I think its a grand idea to make a card based on each description but that is alot of work! If you wanna post what you did I'd be fascinated to see it but I wouldn't post the pic of the one you did for your partner till they get it in the mail. Don't wanna spoil the surprise! :)

I absolutely adore the way you draw seaponies! I can't decide which is my favorite. xD Though the one of Koira just has me itching to write a story about it, hahaha.
And I'm so so so happy you like yours! At first I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off, and after deciding what to do with the blood I really didn't know what to do about coloring. The final product is much different than what I had planned, but I'm really proud of it. I just wish I was skilled enough to clean up the image better, or took a photo of the lineart, lol.

I have good news and I have bad news.
The good news is I got the ATC from Harvestmgirl yesterday. Thank you, she's is AWESOME!! Cause Steamponies are the best ponies. :biggrin:
The bad news I also got back the one I sent. It was marked undeliverable and was a lil worse for wear. :bawl: I'm going to repackage and resend it tomorrow.
