Thanks to everyone for the nice comments! 

My mother loves violets and black cats. I will probably always come to each card to make black cats for her.  She also collects postcards with a painted / drawn black cat, so these cards I made fit her collection as well.

For my niece's card, I tried to make an anime-style cat, and her favorite color is blue, so of course I made a blue cat.
