:shy: Hello everyone again.. I was away from the forum again for several days, but now I'm back and at my own laptop. At Easter, I went home again with my spouse. We were supposed to stay for a shorter time, but because of my cat Ozzy, we stayed longer. I also have a laptop at home, but it is so slow and we had left this faster laptop at my spouse's apartment, so I couldn't come here to the forum to visit on that slow machine. Now we have been at my spouse's apartment again for a few days.

The irritated skin on Ozzy's tail is already better and on Sunday morning my mother took off Ozzy's collar. :) On Wednesday, Ozzy has an appointment with the vet and blood tests will be taken. I hope everything is fine and it was "just" stress.

There is snow, there is melted ground, there is snow.. Cold, warm, cold.. this is the Finnish spring.

At the beginning of this month, I was able to admire crocuses and bumblebees. Migratory birds arrived and began searching for mates. I could smell the melted earth around me and watch the ice melt on the lake.
Now, on Saturday, winter arrived back. I get to admire the snow-covered land and the forest again. Feel the freezing cold. But even though I love winter, I feel sad precisely because of these migratory birds, especially the small ones. They can't survive without the help of us people. Winter feeding must be continued. Most of all, I worry about the hedgehogs. I really hope I don't find them somewhere in the middle of the snow! :( I heard that yesterday someone had found a hedgehog in poor condition. I hope it survived and got help in time! Now more snow and cold have been promised for the next few days. I have to be really careful now in my yard and in the woods too.

This was last night. I was eating strawberries and I went to pet Aster. She went crazy on my fingers! So I gave her a little slice of strawberry and she acted like some cats act with catnip  I got it all on video!

Aster

A wonderful video of the lovely Aster! I didn't even know that cats can get crazy from strawberries!

At the beginning of this year I have made a few cards. Sorry for the very poor quality pictures!
I drew the cards with colored pencils. These would have turned out better with water colors.

Easter cards for friends:
(In the first two, it says Happy Easter in Finnish.)

This card went to mom and it features our cats Ozzy (bunny costume) and Hector (chick costume)

Birthday card for dad:
The yellow-necked mouse (Apodemus flavicollis).

Personally, I liked this better when there was no background. It's a shame when I went to ruin it with spruce trees.  >_<

I'm not religious but doing seasonal decorating lifts my mood, and so many Easter traditions are pagan anyway... The white tablecloth brightens up the whole room and together with the decorations makes me smile every time I enter the room.

Same here! ^.^ I also have decorations for Easter (bunnies, eggs, chicks...), I have goodies for this season and I make and send cards.

Pokeyonekenobie, congratulations on your new car!  :iconclap:

BC, that little sign is perfect and cute!  :lovey:

Thanks to everyone for the hugs etc.  :grouphug:
I haven't heard anything from dad, but I thought I could call him over the weekend and ask if the doctor has called him yet.

Oh no Beldarna, what have you been through! So horrible and sad!

I shouldn't watch any news broadcasts on TV. :nope: Only war, death, accidents (and the ongoing strike in Finland) have been the topics of these days and they will be tomorrow as well. That video of the bridge collapse in Baltimore was shocking!  :scared: :(
